Oh god no. I'm curious to see the video but I can do without it if it would damage her in any way.

Do you feel him sir?

No. With the video leaking/uploaded, it would really hurt Gaga's image that she has been building ever since the ARTPOP era. With DWUD surfacing the planet, everyone is going to be against Gaga and call her out for xyz thing.

"Botched" singles strategy aside.... I think DWUW is one of the artistic high points of Gaga's career from all angles --- lyrically, conecptually/symbolically, musically, and vocally. But we are missing a HUGE piece of the puzzle, which was the video. We got hints of it at the 2013 American Music Awards performance (with the newspaper headlines in the background), but I really think seeing the video in full would complete the message of this song. I am here for it!

...and to this day, I still think R. Kelly was the perfect duet partner. He is the embodiment of the media vilification that she is singing about on the track. Plus, the fact that the song is "disguised" as sexual in meaning, when really it's all about the public's consumption of celebrities via the media, makes him the perfect partner from a thematic/conceptual standpoint --- he is the living "double entendre" of the song's meaning.

Not to mention, R. Kelly is one of the greatest talents of our time. Who are we to drag him over allegations that were never proven?

The fact that she samples a lyric from Michael Jackson's "Scream," a song about the EXACT same subject (which came from an album that R. Kelly was heavily involved in producing) just puts the whole thing into the stratosphere in terms of achieving what ARTPOP set out to do. I have no time for shade thrown toward this song, video, collaboration or single release. It was everything I show up to Gaga for.

(PS --- Jeff Koons, Gaga and I see you, MJ album cover statue)

Contrary to popular opinion I really didn't mind R. Kelly's involvement on the track and I thought his voice suited the song quite well. Lyrically though his verse was embarrassing but I digress. I think if she wanted to be more cutting edge she should've collaborated with a female on this track (**** the christina aguilera version, no offense to xtina herself, but her feature was terrible imo). Had she chosen to feature Azealia Banks this is the song I would've imagined would fit her well and I think she would've been the edge the album desperately needed. As well as fitting the context of the song for obvious reasons.

My extended thoughts.... Here's a YouTube video I made about the song 2 days after its release. I've posted this before, but this seems like a relevant time to resurrect it! More on R. Kelly, MJ, Gaga and Koons:
