So far listening to the album, I would give it a solid 7 or 8 (probably 8 after a few more listens). I think Rih delivered with this album, but it all boils down to personal preference. So what do you guys think? Discuss!!!

I love that she experimented with music and did her own thing. I love it really. 10/10 from me. I hope Gaga also experiments alot, cant wait for her to slay me

9, the only mediocre song is Work.

One of the most beautiful records she's ever made. It's actually very unlike her, I never knew she could pull this kind of sound off. I loved Rihanna for her pop hits like Only Girl, S&M but seriously

this album is the definition of maturity for Rihanna. I'm so glad she's put an effort in writing most of the songs and her vocals are Grammy-worthy. Watch this album receive an Album of the Year nomination.

I won't say that it's a better album than Adele's 25, but I'd rather she win this Grammy if LG5 loses it to either of them. (of course i hope LG5 snatches it :stalkga:)

Like other people who posted before me, I appreciate greatly that she took the time to find a type of music that would give her a distinct niche as well as a new direction that can showcase her talents, and all because she spearheaded the effort to do so. Some songs on the album are real gems that showcase this, like Closer to You and Love on the Brain. However, some records sound awkward and fail to reach this level for me (notably the first single Work). And while her style is one that I like if it is done well, hearing an album of 'okay' music in the genre with only one or two outstanding songs makes it more of an album to praise for the effort, but not how much I enjoy the result.

I gave it a 6.

I love it, I was positively surprised during my first listening, although there are no catchy songs.

I give it a 6, which i consider a high score. It's actually a great record.

"Same old mistakes" is my favorite, it's a cover but it fits very well. Seems a album easy to listen a few times and they didn't go for that mainstream generic sound.
