Sia's Songs Sound the Same

So I was listening to Sia's new album, and I noticed that many of her songs sound very similar to one another. What I mean by this is that she usually has the same type of instrumentals, the same type of beats, and even very similar melodies and vocals in many of her songs (within many of her albums, not just this new one). Sometimes is just feels like once you heard one song, you already heard many of her songs.

Yes that's called a cohesive album made in just a few sessions with a reasonably small team to preserve that cohesion. I know you mainly only listen to LG so you may take some time readjusting to that concept but I promise as you learn that more than 5 albums have ever been released in human history you'll catch on to it's benefits ;)

But is not just this album. Some of the songs on this album sound like songs she already made in previous albums. And I mainly only listen to LG within the pop sphere, but I listen to many more artists from other genres.

Then you should be perfectly familiar this idea. :)

I know that many albums are meant to be cohesive and with similar sounds and themes, but in Sia's case her songs sound way too similar.

Chris Evans

I wouldn't say that- some of her beats are her signature sound imo she just has a distinctive voice

you can say the same about Elvis

While I'd tend to agree that extremely subjective and in that case you're just airing your negative opinion of a hard-working artist, which doesn't encourage any real discussion and therefore isn't really worthy of a thread. Take it to statuses like the rest of us. :emma:

There is nothing bad with negative opinions. Is completely ok if you disagree with me though.

River

I don't like her, she's tiring.. her songs sounds the same or like songs that she wrote to other people.

Many times I don't understand what she's saying..

For example: I always thought that she's saying "buy me gasoline" but then I discovered that she's saying "fire meet gasoline".. so for a long time i didn't understand why she's asking someone to buy her gasoline..

And the hiding face thingy.. ok it was nice for the first time, but bitch, enough, this cheap gimmick is not working anymore..

I could play the moderator, I can ban you, die sis.

Bad Monster Kid

I kinda agree. If she pulled back on the belting from time to time it would do wonders. She has an amazing voice and everyone knows that by now. Show me what else you can do.

Still love her though. Fire meets Gasoline is an amazing pop song.
