In your opinion, what's the smartest quote that Gaga ever said?

Why did you forget your favorite quote?

mess

By the time you reach the end of this sentence, it'll be too late to realize I just wasted your time with a pointless sig.

Food. Hanging out. Shopping. Clubbing. Night life.

The most relatable ever for me cos I love those.

She is smart to be relatable. She got the key.

Another one!

One of my favorite quotes she's said comes from the song ARTPOP:

"Give it time, sometimes the simplest move is right." I think its such a beautiful statement.

Isn't it "Keep it tight"?

This isn't Gaga's quote, she just passed it on.

This one is quite good.

“Don’t sell out to this business"  "Sell in.”

sell in: "1. (Commerce) (tr) to sell (new products) to a retail outlet to be sold to the public

2. (intr) to use the established system to one's advantage, rather than attempting to fight against it"

The response to the (repeated) question of if her sexual image and the sexuality in her songs was distracting. After being asked the same question for the third time because the interviewer wasn't satisfied with her already confident, valid answers, she let him have it:

"If I were a man and I was sitting here with a cigarette in my hand and grabbing my crotch and saying how I like making music because I like fast cars and f*****g girls...you'd call me a rockstar. But because I'm a female and because I make pop music...you're judgemental. You say that it is...distracting. I'm just a rockstar."

This is the Gaga I miss. That no-holds barred woman who said exactly what was on her mind and spilled the tea. These is the kind of quotes that I, as a feminist, live for. The sad thing is that a lot of fans see this moment as rude and bitchy. And therein lies the problem. When a woman stands up for herself, she's called horrible names and is told she has no right to defend herself. But when a man does it, he's just being a man, he's being A Boss, he's putting his foot down. We need more women to have the guts to take on this sexist double standard.

The most recent quote I liked was said during her Billboard Woman of the Year interview. I thing it was so inspiring. She thanked her parents for supporting her in her desire to pursue music. I really admire her parents for always having her back no matter how crazy she is. The whole introduction from her mother and the condition they put for her to get a record deal in 1 year or go back to school was really touching. Her parents gave her a chance that not many parents would do (nor afford). And her gratefulness shows in this quote.

"Kids become depressed when they are born with a creative instinct but are not taught how to express it... If you don’t teach someone how to release that energy, it gets blocked up, and it’s painful. Kids need to learn how to express who they are and seek value in it.”

Not sure exactly. I have used female identities online and found it easier actually people were more respectful to controversial views. Kind of used it as a shield. Suppose if you are the big boss dude then it would be true they don't get messed with but 99% men are not the big boss dude. You might find this interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ip7kP_dd6LU

It's different when you're defending yourself, though. I've experienced being called a bitch just for expressing a respectful opinion that no one else agreed with. I've been called "uppity" just for daring to submit an opinion. The video was interesting but it didn't tell me stuff I didn't already know. I fully support men getting more rights and freeing themselves out of gendered straitjackets too. I think both genders suffer from BS gender stereotypes that need to end. I wouldn't give up being a woman either as I think if you're comfortable with the gender you're born in, you'd always ne tied to it no matter what. I have to say, though, I think ultimately, sexism towards women is far more damaging to us in so many ways and that's why I'm a feminist. Men may experience sexism but it has fewer knock effects as a result of it.

This is one of the most wise quotes I've ever heard. They should preach this in schools.

It is very complex dynamic but facts are that men have lower life expectancy and higher suicide rate but the important thing to recognise is that each wo/man is effected differently and the reasons certain people are supported which should be because of their love of nature and co-creativity of a living functional planet.

Yes, but women are far more likely to beaten and killed by their partner (they are just as likely to as they were 50 years ago). In my country alone (the UK), over 85,000 women are raped a year and on average, about 2 women every week are killed by a current or former partner. And 1 in 3 women in the world will be raped or beaten in her lifetime. When men die from something that wasn't old age or illness, it's far more likely to be suicide or at the hands of another man, so the situation is different. I don't know what you mean about that stuff about the planet at the end (you seem like the nature loving type who likes to promote it).

Take a look at this boss advert and notice what is being promoted. He even looks away from the tree and at the end there is the city being promoted anyway I don't want to think about it. I really flipped out one time when I was analysing it once thinking about how bad I have been treated by women considering how great I am. This is just one example of imagery from media.  You say women getting raped and abused but which sort of men are they choosing?

It's not a quote but whatever

Tonight i'll return the fame and riches earned, with you i'd watch them all be burned

she first said these lyrics in Antwerp

OT: I agree with a lot of the quotes already posted.
Was also thinking of that one which goes something along the lines of "you can't create in a void, creativity doesn't always have to mean originality" or something.

Other one: "You can use the theater of your imagination to entertain people beyond their wildest dreams and then you can put something inside of that, that changes the world. And that to me is when you make something truly great as an artist."

There was another one that came to my mind, but I forgot :emma:
