He's saying he's speechless and he's getting all this hate. What do all these idiots want? For him to say he's over the moon about it? People can never win these days

Of course Sam I dont think sam is racist but I do think he's delusional and wanted to use this opportunity to make himself look like a hero even though millions of people are aware of this tragedy. He shouldn't have played the victim and maybe if he didn't focus too much on his feelings then he wouldn't be getting a tremendous amount of backlash. He is highly annoying so I'm not angry about him getting the backlash but I do find this drama to be entertaining and juicy

I know some of ya'll are gonna disagree with my opinion and call me pathetic but strap me to a tree and run me over with a truck while you're at it ;)

I've always thought he is a little whiny and imature. I don't think he's a racist but I think the backlash is a necessary education for him who appears to have been living in a buble of privilege and didn't even know about it. So opportunist to decide to take on the leading role on somebody else's fight.

People need to stop, he was being a drama queen - ok, we get it. Now move on.

Making the situation about himself doesn't make him a racist, just means he isn't very bright.

Very true and some people are saying "whites cant speak out on racism" and thats not true at all. The problem is when they want to be the leading role on minorities fight when they aren't even that educated in it. Gaga has talked about racism before, not much but she's talked about it and the reason why she never received backlash about it is because she never played the victim and Gaga is aware of racism. She even said in college she was aware that in NYU they lacked so much african american authors and she questioned why but she never made it about herself like what Sam and others do. There are many white celebrities that speak out on racism but they don't get backlash because they aware of their privilege while also understanding the troubles of racism and speaking about it from other people's perspective. Anderson Cooper is a great example of that.

Anderson Cooper talks about racism but he doesn't play the victim and he takes time to see their perspectives and the struggles they go through and actually does something about it instead of tweeting about it hence why he doesn't get backlash

Of course this SJW generation is gonna come running at him, he was being really sympathetic and I don't think he said anything wrong. I mean sure the whole 'he had no idea' thing is a bit of a kii, but still, he doesn't deserve hate.

Please correct me if I make any grammar mistakes, I want to master English as much as possible.

People are overreacting as always.

Yes, he was being a little extra but I doubt he wanted to get attention and make it about him.

Instead of dragging him for this we should use this to start a conversation about empathy towards minorities.

Caring and pretending to care just to bring down people you don't like are two different things and lately a lot of people seem to be doing the second one. It's affects negatively the fight for equality making it harder to educate people about these issues.

That was indeed not the best way to describe his feelings about the situation. I'm talking about how he didn't include anything about his friend in a tweet. He did the right thing by talking about it though. I hope with every fibre of my being that he does not apologise. Apologies have become way too common and they have lost all meaning and purpose.

Why would he publicize his friend's experience or talk about his friend's feelings on his own account?

It's not his place. It is however his place to say his own feelings.

Considering you don't know the context of what happened, it's not your place to tell him how he should feel or talk about it either. Why should he stay quiet too?

You all need to sit down.

The man would have been dragged to the pits regardless of whether he spoke about it or not.  If he didn't comment and 'shed light'  he'd be accused of being a racist and ignoring issues.

Can't win either way it seems.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

LOL the incredibly false analogy.

Anderson Cooper is a journalist. He's supposed to be impartial and present the experience of the victim as part of his reports.

This is a random person (who just happens to be a celebrity) talking about how he felt about an experience he witnessed.

Get off his case. You're making a fool of yourself.

Damn white people can't ****in win in these situations. It's like if he doesn't say anything, it's "oh you're part of the problem ignoring racism and sweeping it under the rug u must take a stand" so he says something and now it's "take a seat doughboy not ur place to have feelings." It's impossible to please everyone, may as well give up on doing "the right thing" cause everyone's opinion differs on what the right thing is, even amongst poc/sjws

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3
