Even though I agree when you say that most talk show hosts just kiss up to every star that comes on the show, I think that Wendy goes to the other extreme: by using the excuse of being someone who "keeps it real" she ends up saying things just for the shock value the may have and always in a sensationalized way. But the truth is most of time everything she says is obviously simplistic, sometimes only partly true, or she adjusts the facts so that they will look more impressive then they actually are. Also, most of the things de says are projected to cause a very specific reaction from the audience, which is exactly the reaction that she generally gets.
