25 vs. LG5 at the 2017 Grammys

Okay so many monsters love ARTPOP, but I think most of us can agree that Born This Way is Gaga's opus.

Born This Way was basically snubbed of any Grammys because Adele's 21 took everything. How does everyone feel about 25? Do you think it'll sweep the 2017 Grammys or does LG5 have a chance at some awards?

If Gaga wins against Adele the GP will complain, and if she doesn't it'll be 2012 all over again. It's a lose, lose situation.

If LG5 is of high quality we shouldn't have to worry about 25, basically.

Is Gaga capable of making an album as high quality as 25? Absolutely.

To be honest 25 is easier to beat than 21. I feel like 21's impact was untouchable while with 25, if Gaga can create a very compelling album, she has a very good chance. Especially if she'll have a huge single.

It'll get album of the year but it won't win singles awards and idk if it would win a pop album award cuz well, it doesn't scream pop to me. One things for certain in 2017, Gaga will win at least one Grammy. The Grammy's love her.

She NEEDS to put Kanye on her album so she can win Best Rap/Sung collaboration

The two albums probably won't even be eligible during the same year. LG5 will more than likely be eligible for the Grammys in 2018.

25 will be hard to beat, but Blackstar will be a sentimental favorite and could be the upset win.

I'm still pressed about the whole BTW vs 21 situation at the Grammys. It was bullshit that BTW was completely snubbed. Looking back, it doesn't surprise me because the Grammys are a sucker for that kind of sound on 21 despite it, imo, being a vocally, creatively, and artistically inferior album to BTW.

i really doubt gaga will release before sept 30th. it would be great cause we avoid slaydele, but i dont think she´ll make us wait that long

If LG5 is released before September 30 (I think that's the date) then it, 25, and Blackstar will be eligible in the same year.

I think you're right as well. I completely forgot about Blackstar but that's a big competitor now.

BTW was perfect, but as you said, the Grammys are suckers for the 21 sound.

21 was unexpected and fresh when it came out and that's why it was so successful at the Grammy's. 25 was completely expected, safe and although it was a massive commercial success, it didn't have the impact of 21. I'm not worried.

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

You have a point. Many critics were really disappointed by that fact especially, that 25 was predictable.
