Talent always wins? New ATRL poll agrees Björk is more legendary than Gaga

Both are known for their desperation for attention but at least Gaga and her hits are more recognized. Furthermore Björk's biggest moment, the swan dress wasn't close to as popular as LG's meat dress.

We're less than a decade in and LG has already topped almost every single one of Björk's achievements. I think it's safe to say LG is more "legendary"

Bajork is just weird whereas there's actually an artistry behind what Gaga does.

ATRL?  Seriously,  you may as well pull this poll out your ass tbh.  Didn't you just create a thread comparing Madonna and Gagas grief?  Great, that's what this site needs, more kids comparing female pop stars.

Either way,  I prefer Gaga,  I don't care if she is less 'iconic'  or she 'serves'  less.  She makes better music IMO so who cares?

so unnecessary.

but obviously bjork is, for lack of a better word, more 'legendary' than Gaga. Bjork makes better, more critically-acclaimed albums by creating deep, heart-wrenching, emotional lyrics & melodies, a level that gaga has yet to achieve in her career.

What's with the title? Bjork is like the definition of talent. Her critical acclaim is universal

They share similarities but their music styles and their topics are SOO different. Bjork once said she wasn't very into Gaga's music (because she isn't really into pop) but that she considered her very talented, brave and very necessary for pop music.

They are both my equal faves, I adore both. But Bjork has a longer history on the run, and has influenced generations of musicians. Therefore I consider her more iconic and legendary. Gaga is building her path, and she is doing it very successfully

I find it kind of funny that "Never heard of this person" is an argument. Makes me remember a couple of years ago when some bieber fans were dragged through the mud because they didnt know who paul mccartney was :rip:

I've never heard of this bjork. Nor do I know how to pronounce his/her name...

It's time for you to let the light in then ;)

Behold the greatest electronic album ever made.

OP: These are my two favorite women in the whole world, couldn't love them more.

But Björk has been around for so long and is still going strong and Gaga is yet to achieve her acclaim and longevity. Björk is considered a genius by many (including me) and is viewed as one of the greatest musicans of our time and I'm sure our Gaga will be too one day. But not yet.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

The fact that Gaga is getting compared to Björk is a huge compliment to her, even if the poll was not intended to do so.

when did Bjork peak? on which album/era/song? I'm curious as I've just listened to her recently (I mean as in a month or two) and I've never thought her music would ever appeal to the super fickle GP:koons:

You girls need to watch Björk documentaries and prepare the slayage.  This bitch has been making music since the 70's.  She's worked with the cream of the crop in the Alternative/Electronic/Drum n' Bass/Ambient/Pop/R&B and I can go on.. Ha music videos are ICONIC and everything speaks for itself. I could go on but I gotta clock into work.  Bye bitches :sara:

I pitty these poor Gaga fans lol They must all have been born in 2010 to not know who Bjork is and not recognize her legend status.

Bjork has some artistic stuff but as a musician she's literally made for the Helen Keller's of the music fan world

Hmm commercially, I would say she peaked during Post, songs like Army of me, Hyperballad and It's Oh So Quiet were popular. Debut was popular too. Of course it wasn't a giant peak, she has always been in the alternative side. Critically, her peak came with Homogenic and Vespertine

I don't even know her :neyde:

But my father does, he mentions her, and Bowie, and Madonna when he criticizes her
