How early to arrive?

Hi everyone! :)

The year of LG5 is finally here, and I'm anticipating a tour to follow as well. I've never been to a concert before and I was wondering how early should you arrive to concerts such as Gaga's? I've heard 30 minutes from some people and 5 hours from others. I'd like to get the best spot possible if I manage to get standing tickets but not sure what time to go.

None of those is good tbh. You have to get there in the early morning tbh, especially now that Gaga used special/pre-access mechanisms for her last solo tours (meaning that the people who are first in a regular line are still not the first to enter the building - meaning you have to arrive extra early).

Some people camp out so they can be sure of a good spot which is ridiculous, but yeah, just sayin', keep your eyes and ears open.

It depends of what ticket do you have and what are you anticipating. I mean If you want to stand in front of the scene, then you should come earlier. I've been on two artraves, one in Prague, and one in Vienna. In both I was much earlier due to my transport. In Vienna I was waiting in the queue and I was at the beginning of it, but I eventually stumbled and was rammed by people who were running into the railings and I ended up much farther then I started. :air::air::air: Good memories.

I can say that sometimes it's up to luck.

I camped out for a week in -20 to get front row in norway during the BTWB, I almost lost a toe. Memories :nick:

It depends on the ticket, if you get early admission then you dont have to get there at 6am in the morning, but i'd say  somewhere around 10 am would be good.

Strongly depends on the artists. I've been to concerts where there weren't any people even when the supporting band was playing, but when it comes to Gaga, I would go there as early as possibl because duuuh she's one of the biggest stars in the world and her fans are crazy to get to the first row

imo, it all really depends on the stage setup and the ticket types (and the country/city you live in, ofc)

For example, for the Stockholm artRAVE I stood in line for about 30 minutes and got a PERFECT spot right beside the middle catwalk. drops of her sweat literally fell on me. :gaycat:

It was a whole different story with the BTWB because of the Monster Pit. Everyone wanted to get in there, so I also decided to queue from 9am in the morning.

Thanks :) I'm not looking for first-row sort of early but I'd like to be somewhere decent.

honestly front row is good if you get tired at some point, cus you can lean towards the railing or sit down with your back against it. That's why I like it anyway. And of course you get close to the artist

For Gaga concerts I've always arrived in the morning, around 9AM-11AM :) Haven't been front row but been somewhere between 2-5 which has always worked for me :laughga: I don't have the patience or willpower for waiting any longer :flop:

The funny thing is I had the normal ticket and I was standing next to the people from early access in Vienna. Friend of mine was took onstage by Gaga. :flutter:

The biggest nightmare was exhaustion. :rip: The hall was so warm, and no one was giving away the water, to the point I almost fainted two times and was taken by security members, and then when I came back I sat out the whole Gypsy performance. #storyofmylife

I don't agree with all the arriving 12 hours/1 day/2 days in advance bull****. I think it spoils it for everyone. No matter how much of a fan you are you'll never get what you hoped for, as it'll never be early enough because silly people camp out for days on end which means other people feel they must do that as well and any normal person doesn't stand a chance. That's what I think anyway.

However this has never actually affected me because for the BTWB and the artRAVE, I showed up 15 mins before doors opening and for the BTWB got right up close to the middle of the runway and for the artRAVE was right in the middle of the runways, just to the left of the VIP area. No waiting involved. Maybe it just depends how lucky you get on the night.

At BTWB I camped out for over 30 hours and a person that arrived after me got keyholder (you can ready my experience on here: https://littlemonsters.com/post/521f611534a8a288225b5999 )

So I won't camp anymore and will get myself early entry because then you are most likely to get the spot that you want (Front row isn't always the best view)

But spending a few hours in line is cool because you get into the right mood with people that share your love for the artist.
