By the way, even if LG5 would flop, her tour would not + she now has 'other projects' on which she can rely

Stop. ✋

Do You have a psychology degree? If not, then I don't think you're qualified to go around giving diagnosis.

Stanning is not exclusive to music. It can be anything from your favorite sports team to your favorite restaurant. And at the end of the day, if you stan something you want to see whatever it is be successful.

Now. are some people over the top when it comes to success? Yes. Do some people project their own issues into their faves? Most definitely. But I'm sick of y'all trying to throw "because they're a bottom and gay and like daddies blah blah blah" as some weak shade. That has nothing to do with why some people are obsessed with charts. Maybe they just like statistics. Maybe they just genuinely want Gaga to be successful. Live and let live.

I love u

Maybe that would've counted in 2009 but not anymore :air: She's RICH.

But it's not her who pay for her vids and tours. G.U.Y. was the exception, and if she didn't love us so much ARTPOP would have ended with 1 MV (not really excellent MV), and the reason for that is a commercial failure

Because she set herself out to be "an interesting commercial artist".

2:05

She worked her ass of for years to get to the #1 spot in the industry. This is the woman who would be on the road every day, have press junkets all day, open up for PCD or NKOTB in the evening and then do one or two club sets at night. She took no prisoners and went straight for her goal: world dominance.

And that drive, feeds us. Not necessarily being #1, although it is nice to see your fave having the top spot, but mostly because we want to see her hustle again. We want to see her drive, her ambition, her hunger. Cause when she doesn't have it, we get era's like ARTPOP.

REALITY

I couldn't agree with you more. There are some Little Monsters here, and everywhere really, that seem only happy for Gaga when she gets commercial success. It's annoying and just flat-out rude to the artist. We shouldn't care about how it can sell the first week, we should care about whether or not Gaga's making genuine, authentic music.

Gaga's said it herself, that this whole industry is a system, and if your art doesn't go through the system well, they—companies and corporations—want to change it or even scrap it. Gaga's been one of a few artist to break this system and create music that she isn't afraid to (looking at ARTPOP here).

Little Monsters and bandwagon fans just want to hear that Gaga's the best in the world, and they want to see that through album sales. It makes me sad that some of us seem to only care about tearing other artists down. What does that do for them?

"Music not the bling."

She could pay for them though. She did, in the past. She went broke making the MB :rip: And she also paid for the artRAVE event in Brooklyn.

I mean, what would you rather have: Gaga deciding to fund her own chosen projects or being a slave to the Interscope system (which she has already condemned in one of her interviews, example: she hates to release singles in the first place)?

Also, I think Gaga can work with upcoming artists who don't require a high fee at all (or any). The time when expensive means good is long gone.

I understand that you can't stop thinking about me, but you forgot that I also want Gags to be the best because her music is the best and she deserves it.........

I'm sorry but wtf r u......

Anyway I understand what r u talking about

and her work absolutely deserves more than what she got from past years

But let's take it down a notch, we are not her manager nor her record label. By caring too much about her commercial success we could lose ourselves too easily and become the same sh*t like those who hurt her. and tbh there's lot artists didn't get their recognitions. Just be supportive when she needs us. The least she need right now is her fans' betrayal

Flop is still connected to success so we're still talking about your topic.

And as someone said on the first page, some fans needs Gaga to be successful because they are used to identifying themselves with her. I don't say they do not have a life, but they live through her.

My thread is about if we should care about the commercial success not if her album will flop or not. Btw identifying yourself with a popstar in terms of success (i am talking generally ,not about you) is not healthy at all

Yes, I'd rather her fund her own projects. But her work might flop anyway. I really believe that she could be successful following her own ideas, but she needs a proper promo by her side. If it all doesn't work she may decide not to waste her money. Cause when she would run out of it, she couldn't do her art the way the wants anymore, that's why the art should be accompanied with smart promotion that leads to commercial success

She has such a big fanbase that even if her work isn't successful in the GP she will still manage to make tones of money

Pretty much lost it here. Speak for yourself. Imo, success =/= happy.

Idgaf about commercial success. Only thing that I care about when it comes to Gaga, about commercial success is that she has just enough money to live normal and to make nice shows, her tour. Even at the beginning when Just Dance and Poker Face made me a stan, I didn't stan for it cause it was #1, I loved it cause I loved the music, and her personality, performances etc.
