MY OPINION: First single of LG5 coming in February

Why would they "rush" a writing/production maybe it's done? What do we even know? We are talking about logic and possibilities here, and it's the most logic if the first single comes in February. Btw, an artist can release a single without having the album done 100%.

This. BTW wasn't done when it's first two singles were released. Gaga herself said that Heavy Metal Lover was added in April, TWO MONTHS after the release of the lead single and the same month as Judas. Gaga is a hard worker. She can promote music while finishing it at the same time

it's not up to Bobby. It's up to Gaga. That's the theme of 2015/ever since Bobby became her manager. I get the feeling Gaga will release the full album when it is ready, I am not even sure we will get a first single in advance. At least not months in advance. 

 

If Gaga only does what she wants to now, I think it makes sense she takes her time with the album and only drops the whole thing when it's ready. She has described herself as someone who makes full albums. She may even want to have an album with a video for every song. I'm not saying it will be a surprise release, but I think she wants to let the album speak for itself for the most part.

No. It makes more sense to drop it the week of the Grammys. If she wants a strong debut, it should be Feb 12 since the Grammys are on Feb 15. She should premiere the single + MV on Feb 12 & have a Grammy performance Feb 15 to get good sales + streams in the first week. She did it with BTW & it debuted with 450k in just THREE DAYS.

But maybe it isn't? What do we even know? Talking about logic and possibilities, maybe Gaga and Bobby were not actually lying when they said that AHS was the priority. In fact, it isn't just Gaga's team that have mentioned that Gaga likes to do "One project at a time". Robert Wilson said something almost exactly the same when talking about how Gaga works.

Maybe Gaga has been casually writing, but with her previous albums at least the bulk was done before the lead single arrived. We don't even know if anything close to the 1st single is ready.

No, Instagram isn't a great hint as to whether or not she is working on an album, I'd never say that  What I am going on is her schedule over the past few months, her own words and her manager's words.

I know you have seen some pictures of Gaga in the studio with RedOne and I know, that despite Gaga and Bobby's word, you guys think Gaga has been working non-stop on LG5. That's your prerogative, but I'm not buying into that theory.

I don't think the album is close to done. Gaga isn't the type to release the first single when 50%+ of the album still needs to be written. I think she wants to really take her time with this album and that's great.

Yeah great, in fact she already has an album! ARTPOP ACT II is finished!

Plans change. Last we heard AHS was going to influence LG5, but Gaga wasn't on AHS 2 years ago.

Yeh, I don't really think the album is close to completion. A couple of months ago I thought we'd have the first single in the next few weeks, but I'm not so sure now. It is unfortunately a waste of promo, but it'll come when it comes. I'm not getting excited until we get confirmed information...

BTW was still basically finished when the lead was released though. Yeah one song was added during the two month period, but if the album is 20% done we can't really expect her to write 80% of it in three months.

I don't imagine we'll see any new singles or albums until late 2016. Yes, she is very "high profile" right now with award season, etc... but I believe that is by design. Fill in the gap before the new release later this year. And let the public immerse in simply loving her for the talent she is, rather than trying to sell something. It's a marathon, not a sprint. That's always been the name of the game in the music biz, and Adele has proven that it's never been more true than now.

she released BTW before she had finished writing and recording the album that's why we had 2 singles and 2 promo singles before we got the album 3 months later

she wrote & recorded all of TFM in 5 months & TF was written in under less than a year and actually made in a month i believe
