The truth is that when autotune is used correctly and isolated to specific fixes it is essentially undetectable. These days if you hear it, it's meant to be heard or it's used poorly or used on a very bad singer where the autotune has to work too hard. The other clue is that there are plenty of places in Gaga's performance that were a bit flat... it really wasn't her most technically perfect performance but it doesn't matter because the emotion and attitude carried it through to excellence anyway, maybe even better than if it had been pitch perfect. Demi also sounds edited and i mean, it makes sense that they are edited cause the show aired a week after the event and Lifetime had to editand put the ceremony together, so they probably edited all vocalists too, if not then why not air it live in the first place? anyway. i´ve watch the performance like 5 times already lol!
