I am so proud of Gaga Both the performance and the speech were incredible to hear and watch, and so was Cynthia talking about Gaga's upbringing. What an amazing year this woman has had! Did anyone else catch the hint of Speechless in the way she tilted her head, or You and I in the way she stomped her heel at the guitarists? This felt... alive, the way I felt alive again after I came back from being homeless. So good to see the girly joy in the way she talked, the early Gaga in her description of her struggles, and the mature Gaga in her grace. I know she's been saying she feels herself again, but I've been doubting that, and this is the first time I've known she was gonna be okay since she broke her hip. Welcome back, baby. Not just the performance but her mothers speech before it and the montage leading up to it. And then Gaga's speech afterwards. My heart burst with pride throughout and my eyes filled with tears.
