Is sex no longer selling in music?

No, by saying that, I meant you're not always a disagreeable person. I don't have a problem with you disagreeing with others as long as you do it politely and you rarely do. Maybe you don't see your behaviour as a problem but plenty of other people do. It's good to listen to other people's views of you as they can find flaws that you don't see in yourself and you can change.

I didn't say everyone hates you but you aren't always the easist person to get along with. And really? You're basing it on like points? I didn't say anything about that, so why would you think I was judging things based on that? It's not about how many likes you've got, it's how many people genuinely like you. Some people just have lower points than others even though they're perfectly liked, it's just one of those things. Those who are always online will have more points, obviously.

Why are you always trying to lecture me about my 'behaviour'? Get over yourself, I'm not a child. Equally, I know of several people who have issues with you as well. I know not everyone's going to like me and I don't care, I don't like everyone here either. If you can't deal with my style of argument and think I mean harm by inferring everything I say in a personal way, that's your issue. I didn't have personal problems with you until you kept insisting that I did over and over again which got really boring. I don't need to prove myself to online strangers to feel validated, maybe you do. And that's alright. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't care.

I'm not saying you're a child. Adults can have bad behaviour too. If you don't want to be so "mistreated," maybe you should learn to treat others better. Oh, I bet you know several people. They're probably the ones who don't have the attention spans to read/write anything longer than a paragraph so they get frustrated when someone else can (biggest insult I've ever had around here are that my posts are too long). Naturally I assumed you had problems with me when you kept quoting me only to start arguments, never to agree, it's surely understandable for me to conclude that you have issues with me from that. Maybe I should care less about what everyone thinks of me, but hey, we're not perfect. I would genuinely like to know why some people have a problem with me, though, because I'm nice to everyone here, even when I have no right to be. I guess some just don't like it when someone puts down a confident opinion that's the opposite to theirs. If you really want to have it out with me, PM me, so we can talk one on one and sort it out. Maybe then you'll finally see that there's nothing fake about me.

I'll best stop now, before I end up with a warning for going off-topic.

Maybe sex can still sell but only if it is presented in a classier and more seductive way. A solid erotic beat, a great (not so)revealing outfit, sexy (Not over the top slutty)attitude and some seductive (not looking like a desperate *****) dancing can make a sexy song/video successful. People will never be over sex in music. they just got over the slutty stuff girls like miley overdone the past 2 years.

Spoiler

I pray for Gaga and Britney to do all the aboves on LG5 and B9 and slay

This is seductive

I totally agree. Sexy and slutty aren't the same thing and one is definitely more appealing when applied in public. While I think Britney's performance was oversexed, I'd still take that over Miley's any day. I'd only seen stills from her tour, I didn't know that she did stuff like this too. I know those dancers gave their permission to have this stuff done to them (well, the sex toy bit was improvised, so who knows) but man, that was so degrading and whatever they got paid wasn't enough. Not to mention, bringing dwarves into it made it even more uncomfortable as it was sensationalising and almost mocking their condition, turning them into mere props for shock value. This performance actually makes me feel quite sad as I know Miley is capable of so much better (even her vocals were compromised) and is doing things that simply won't bring her any respect. I like how Gaga does sexy performances as she never takes it too far and if anyone throws anything inappropriate on stage, she just gives it a quick reference, but doesn't incorporate it into the act. That's why she gets respect but Miley can't. If people want to watch p**n, it's for free on the internet, to varying levels of explicitness, therefore, there's no need for them to find it in music anymore. The need to merge the two together these days is getting extremely tiresome and in some cases, borderline disturbing.

Don't confuse selling sex with selling trash. Trash does not sell, because most people throw it out. And if record labels think their intended market to be foolish enough to accept crap, they will lose the demographics that actually have money to burn in this shitty economy despite the Fed raising interest rates. Sex to begin with needs to be seductive and intrigue is not gained by just being stark and lazy.
