In case anyone doesn't understand or misconstrues what 64% represents. It's a fresh score.

this show isn't going to be taken seriously ever again until they ditch the creative team behind it; it's not the actors, it's the ideas and direction.

The whole Alex x Vampire Children arc makes me cringe. And With so many storylines, the last few episodes' pacing will be all kinds of wack.

When they don't know how to continue one storyline, they crack open 3 more, and then slap something meaningless together near the end of the series. It's super messy. It's a pattern they have had since Coven, and it will continue until everyone behind the camera is scrapped

It's a pattern since Asylum tbh. The only difference is Asylum resolved and connected almost everything in the end.

I think the drop in ratings is also because of the numerous old cast members that didn't return and there are a lot... The cast of this show has always been a strength...

Only Evan Peter, Denis O'Hare and Sarah Paulson from original cast are back. Angela Bassett is absent most of the time. I think they should bring more people back next season..

The biggest mistake was to focus most of the season on a boring character : John Lowe. Nothing against Wes Bentley, but I hope he won't be back next year.

tbh, I feel like that's kind of like all the seasons are. Obviously not season 1 as much, but still to an extent. Asylum blew it up, but you're right in that it was resolved in a very concise manner. I love all the seasons as they are, but resolutions are far from the team's greatest strengths.

As for this episode, please don't tell me it's gotten a lower score than last week's episode, which was, while decently written and paced, overall a narrative mess. Not that this one is any more put-together, but imo there's a lot more creative substance in this side of the plotline, even if it kind of is a cheesefest.

Somebody mentioned on the reddit sub that it was almost like watching two differently paced, differently written shows.

What are the teams strengths though? I cannot find one, the promotional material all but lies, the stories are half assed as well as the ideas, they cannot properly finish a storyline, and I feel like the scene with all the famous american serial killers was borderline parody. They've gotten cocky with popularity and it shows.

I won't be watching next season, they need to ditch the team or stop the show. It's subpar at best, and honestly it isn't the actors/actresses fault. We know the talent they have can act, but they aren't being given good material.

Yeah. A lot of people can't do simple math anymore. 7/11 = 63.6 (rounded up to 64). Yeah pretty simple.

Honestly, it's stupefying to think that someone couldn't "understand" or figure that one out for themselves.

That said, it's good to see that some of these blind lemmings at Rotten Tomatoes (who have been over-rating AHS all season) are finally coming to their senses.

I'd say that a rating between 55% and 64% seems accurate and fair. Anything above 75%, at this point, is delusional.

Yeah, I get you.

I mean, I'm still enjoying the show, but the first five episodes were narratively a lot tighter than what's been going on now. Like, after the bombshell that was the school incident, things kind of dropped away (though, I find it interesting how they brought it back- like something boiling underneath the scope that's gonna be a shitshow).

imo they've been really good at creating characters (and obviously the actor's behind them have been doing a good job), but not an overall plotline. It seems obvious to me that there is some sort of endgame they're gonna reach, which at least was better than last year (love Freak Show's art dynamic and overall theme, but it felt like it was going nowhere in terms of plot). But, it's like they don't know how to get there in a manner that isn't weirdly choppy.

I don't know, I feel like I started watching this season with the lens that it was gonna be super-serious with tight-writing (to the extent of Asylum/Murder House), and maybe that was my mistake. I mean, it's not as campy as Coven, but I don't think I should have expected, like, Hannibal level of narrative pacing. I put my expectations too high for a show that's just supposed to be fun, I guess.

Though, it still is fun, and like you said, the actors are all killing it.
