I didn't read the full thing but I think it's obvious that everyone changes - mentally and physically. Gaga's personality seems very different than 7 years ago. What happened to ''you'll never see me without heels'' or ''I never lipsync'' or ''obsessively opposed to the typical''? Everyone says things that aren't compeletely true or possible to execute (right word?) in real life. Gaga has also been through some tough times that probably made it hard for her to think rationally in every situation.
People have different opinions on plastic surgery, but I don't think it's a big deal. Gaga has only filled her lips (in 2012) and done something to her cheekbones (probably for AHS). The face tape is kind of ridiculous though. I think she looks pretty without changing her face with those methods, but it's her decision. If someone thinks the message of Born This Way is against that, you're wrong - Born This Way encourages you to change until you're the best version of yourself. I can also understand the pressure and insecurity that Gaga might feel, even if she doesn't try to be a ''beauty queen''.
Lately Gaga has been, or at least seems, really happy. I don't want to criticize her ways to keep going forward, because I just want her to be satisfied and confident with herself. I'm not sure what I meant to say, but I guess she knows what's the best for her. Taylor and her family will surely tell her if she's doing something wrong.

Does it matter what she has had done, the fact is she had something done. Cheek and lip fillers, possibly facial liposuction, work on her nose. The point people are trying to make here is, the surgery she has isn't the problem, it's lying about it and promoting acceptance of who you are, what you look like, etc and then turning around and augmenting everything about herself. How can fans expect to be happy with themselves and embrace the message when Gaga herself doesn't practice what she preaches. And FYI: people in the industry certainly can be successful without catering to what society expects them to look like, for decades, cosmetic surgery wasn't prevalent in the business and hundreds of singers and performers were successful.

The over-reaction... It's just a goddamn face. I follow her because of her music, her talent, her voice, and because she's an amazing person, I still don't understand why the fact that she modifies her face is such a big deal for this fanbase.

People need to stop telling Gaga what she should/should not do with her body. It's her body, let her do what she wants with it. And also, saying "Oh, I want the old Gaga back" doesn't mean a thing. Gaga's the same person, sure, she may look different, but it doesn't change who she is and what she stands for. Gaga spreads a message about love and acceptance, and it's completely hypocritical that some of her fans are being so judgmental towards her. 

Also, on that note, Born This Way, isn't necessarily about your physical appearance, but rather who you are. It necessarily isn't about what you look like, but the fact that we are all equal and we should be proud of our individual selves.
