It dosent work that way So an artist cant release an album if the record company does agree to it? it is required for her to do an album and release it but if the record company doesnt want to, then they are the ones who dont want to and so they can reach an agreement to break the contract or sue the record company. I haven't followed this story because it's a mess ever since the start but I remember someone saying emails were found of Kesha's mom threatening to accuse him of rape, and inviting him over for dinner or something in an email before that. And who's to say they know what really happened? It's clear Kesha hasn't been happy with her music career and maybe she wanted to take a more mature approach rather than sing about dying young? Dr. Luke CLEARLY would have shared any of his songs with Kesha if he wanted to tie her down for more than 8 albums. Also I'm not entirely defending him because I do believe he verbally abused her and made sick comments about her body. But believing he s-xually assaulted her is hard with literally no evidence. The truth is Kesha could be lying and until we have solid proof who's to say which party is telling the truth? Anyway I think Kesha should be let go of her contract. Why would he even want to work with her after this mess anyway? Plus the backlash Kesha would receive for going back to him would damage her career more than this situation ever will.
