DiscoHeaven23 35,007
To add to The Fame being named by Billboard as the 12th Greatest Album of All Time (remember these ratings are based on numbers, they aren't made up based on personal opinion), Lady Gaga has been named the 67th Biggest Singles Artists of All Time just 7 years into her career. A big feat considering she beats longer acts like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Eminem, and Alicia Keys. The top 5 Overall Singles Artists are: 1)The Beatles 2) Madonna 3) Elton John 4) Elvis Presley 5) Mariah Carey The Top 20 Solo Women Are: (Year stands for the first year a song charted on Hot 100) 1) Madonna (1983) 2) Mariah Carey (1990) 3) Janet Jackson (1982) 4) Whitney Houston (1984) 5) Rihanna (2005) 6) Olivia Newton-John (1971) 7) Aretha Franklin (1961) 8) Katy Perry (2008) 9) Diana Ross (1970) 10) Donna Summer (1975) 11) Taylor Swift (2006) 12) Connie Francis (1958) 13) Beyonce (2003) 14) Brenda Lee (1959) 15) Barba Streisand (1964) 16) Cher (1965) 17) Gloria Estefan (1985) 18) P!nk (2000) 19) Dionee Warwick (1962) 20) Lady Gaga (2008) I think this really represents that in the last 10 years Rihanna, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga have been the major acts of the generation. I think there are only two acts with less than 5 albums. Katy and Lady Gaga. They may be the strongest of the last 5 years. The fact they are up on that list is amazing and the fact they are in the top 20 female list is also amazing. JusKeepBreathin 19,311
Wow I just noticed Donna Summer. Ha Powa! If you haven't heard her duet with Barbra Streisand you better get on it. Two of the most amazing voices ever on one song. Half ballad half disco classic. It's probably the first dance remix ever.
