super ultra

I was so happy when I saw it on the list, Gaga's best album cover imo

I thought Abbey Road was gonna be the #1

Are we being real here?

Born This Way and ARTPOP both deserved it more than The Fame Monster.

Mobster

Had to google "The Velvet Underground & Nico" to know what the deal was (other than it being a Warhol print). But this kinda slayed:

"Early copies of the album invited the owner to "Peel slowly and see"; peeling back the banana skin revealed a flesh-colored banana underneath."

I'd be here for Gaga doing something interesting with the LG5 cover... (Though I thought the pink metallic foil on ARTPOP was awesome, too)

OT: other than that, this chart is as inaccurate as Billboard's High by the Beach chart debut announcement

But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

Bette Davis

I don't take lists like this seriously because we all have different taste and biases when it comes to art. Congrats to her though, I do think that cover is beautiful, bold and clean.

I personally think this cover is better though, considering the content and theme of the album. It's like she's been consumed and destroyed by her "monsters" that each song is about.

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

Don't take it seriously. Is Teenage Dream not on it? I mean if there's one thing Katy did great it's that cover.

I hope you're not referring to BTW standard...

And nah the ARTPOP cover isn't bad but it's pretty messily pasted together, especially the Gaga "statue" which clashes with the background and she looks constipated. Nice and colorful but from a design standpoint the execution is pretty flawed and tacky.

This is amazing too, but I would say the blonde cover looks like she's been consumed by the "Monster" as well, but instead of being destroyed by it she's become one herself. Both go flawlessly with the songs too

I've always loved this one the most. She looks lifeless and taken. The only human part of her is shown through her tears.

Currently listening to Joanne

Haroon

I do love that cover, but I think the one with the black wig and the crying has more impact :O Congratulations to her :applause:

I'm very surprised that Teenage Dream and Graduation aren't on there though :(

I really love your description "the only human part of her is shown through her tears." I agree with you completely. To me it still feels like her most honest, raw and vulnerable album artwork. I remember when it first came out I was really surprised with it because we had only seen her blonde.

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.
