She joins Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson,Ralph Fiennes, and Zach Galifianakis, among others. Deadline wrote early Monday morning that Carey was going to voice the character of Commissioner Gordon, but THRhas since said otherwise, noting she'll actually take a turn as Gotham's mayor. The city's political leader has taken on different forms over the years — most recently as Richard Kind's corrupt mob-puppet Aubrey James in Fox's Gotham. Specific details about Carey's version are being kept under wraps, which is unfortunate because we also have lots of questions: Will she be bad? Will she be good? Will she be anything like Mayor Adam West from Family Guy? And will there maybe — just maybe — be a Batman-and-mayor-helmed Gotham Idol sing-off to hinder crime and promote healthy competition of other sorts?
