ARTPOP did not sound experimental at all to 2013 listeners (in fact it hopped on to an already dying trend at that point - no one's doing EDM anymore so there you go) and its visual aspect was the antithesis of experimentation, mainly due to Gaga being opposed by MTV and her own team members.All the rest that seems like impact has been done time and time before by (pop) artists before this album, which Gaga explicitly and literally said herself.Stop trying to make it happen, it shouldn't matter. It's forgettable in almost every aspect and anything that made it a masterpiece (like the ideas) were either cancelled, already done or have been taken and fleshed out better. It's a good album, but it will be the one that is forgotten out of the four we have. I do believe someday when Gaga is 50, people are gonna re-vist her discography and be like " how have I ever hated this album??". But the era was messy, that's true. Hate is such a strong word and I don't think anyone (who is a fan) can literally hate the album but I think it's a little too all over the place to really be considered a masterpiece to anyone who says they love it and it's their favourite. A lot of the concepts Gaga had written on paper didn't happen because of management/emotional problems.I just don't see what other artists could adopt from ARTPOP, unless they sat and watched interviews during the ARTPOP era where gaga explains what she was trying to do.
