  1. 1. Do you think that today's release of 'Hello' has brought an unofficial end to the '1989' era?

    • Yea, Adele chucked Taylor off of her throne.

Do ya think? I mean, Taylor can still keep the singles going but I don't think the focus will be on her anymore.

If she releases another single within the next couple weeks, it definitely wont be getting much attention.

Adele will be blocking it, and then the Christmas rush will overshadow the whole industry.

It would be smart of her to wait until January if she wants to keep her album going.

The release of 1989 brought an official end to the 1989 era. :xtina2:

I haven't even thought about Taylor for the past 24 hours.

those two artists live in two different mediums. taylor appeals to a lot younger crowd with her dating **** and all that. taylor is still untouchable in pop culture. she was around for 8 years and will not dissapear because of adeles success. cus taylor is still the queen of catchy bubble gum crap. and as much as everyone will be "adele is real talent unlike X (last time was gaga and this time is taylor swift).  the public will still rather have shake it off singles

She'll probably release another single or two, and they'll most likely be in the top 10 at most.

She'd be lucky to score another #1 while Adele is out.

"Hello" has brought an official end to everyone's career. Why even release anything for the next year? Critical and commercial success will all be given to Adele
