I'd be worried.  I think a big part of her depression in late 2013/early 2014 was due to the sales of ARTPOP, and not even that, but everyone calling it a flop, saying that she's over. If this album does worse, it might really destroy her confidence. I really hope it does well, and if it doesn't, well, hopefully she can take it well. As long as the music is amazing, I'll enjoy the album, but I won't be really happy unless she's happy.

If LG5 is trash in terms of music and it flops harder than ARTPOP, it will be ok. I mean, bad music - awful sales, at least it's understandable. But if the music is really great and the album flops, it will be a sign that her music career is over, GP is not here for her and she lost most of her fanbase.

It doesn't matter. I don't care. But, I think it will be successful because she is more respected now, as she has proven she can sing. Also, she has had 2 years to write it, which is enough time to make good, quality music. Regardless of how well it does, at least we get new gaga music.

Also... her career won't die. She's a legend and has other things to back her up if the album does really bad: AHS season 6 jazz album with tony, possibly a movie.

I have to say, I will be sad because I want Gaga to get praise and success she DESERVES, but I will still enjoy the music as always

If the music is good of course I will not jump ship.

But I am destroying my stan card if she releases a second consecutive jazz album before LG5

I would actually love it. It's about time she gets real with her own music and starts making experimental stuff, something that is as crazy and sophisticated as her outfits

So you had better start thinking about how you'll destroy it :omfgaga:

That sounds completely reasonable

I would be here for her. But, I HIGHLY doubt that LG5 is going to flop. She's working with Redone, and she's not around people who were holding her back *cough* Troy Carter *cough*. Also, everyone has a album that underperforms, remember when Beyoncé released "4"? Then she released "BEYONCÉ" and the GP loved her again. The GP are starting to love/respect Gaga again, even before LG5, so imagine how it's going to be when she actually releases LG5?

I think most of her confidence is already gone.

She just doesn't experience it right now because she is not playing the game. But as soon as she returns to the Fame Game...she will be in the same place she was (emotionally), the one that made her escape the pop scene and sing Jazz instead. Those emotional responses need to be dealt with and I doubt she did that, she ran away from her problems.

The only reasons I want her to be commercially successful are:

1) She deserves it

2) She can have a larger budget to explore her creativity.

Other than that, as long as the music is good, I could care less about the charts.
