Sorry y'all, but if you just want harmless pop music with auto-tuned thin voices you're kinda betting on the wrong horse with Gaga :lmao:
I'm here for Gaga showing her vocal prowess more in her new album but I think she already gradually started with stripping back the auto-tune and writing tunes that are more up to bar with what she's capable of ever since Born This Way.

her voice would not suit the electronic pop she makes, and i doubt she'd give up electronic music since she's a dance artist primarily and 70-80% of this fanbase fell in love with her & still follow her now in hopes of a solid pop melody driven electronic album. Autotune is necessary because she belts and her pitch change live is often shakey so she needs it. Of course she can sing and I'm sure she'll have that one song like she always does ala Speechless, U&I, Dope etc... but it'll become the track most people always skip as usual.

Imho she needs to make a solid electronic pop album, that is not the same as radio entirely but has elements of what's popular on radio with catchy melodies and fun messages next era, she needs to be less serious because TFM - AP have all been massively serious. I personally want TF type music with the updates I mentioned. Of course I respect that you guys think a blend would be nice but I just don't see it tbh.

I see what you''re saying, and I partially agree.

Gaga's album vocals never bothered me. In fact, the way that she sings pretty much every song, and the way they're mixed into the production is kind of genius. The autotune, the warping effects, the largeness of the sound, it's all for effect, not to compensate for lack of technique.

However, Gaga's natural impulse is to sing in a very open, operatic, theatrical way and that doesn't mesh well with her usual electro-pop aesthetic (see the artRAVE Paris video for an example). Hence why she is asked to incorporate less vibrato and flourishes to her studio vocals. I know she doesn't like to do that, but it works better with the music she was created. And to be fair, BTW and AP have much less effects than the first two.

I'm pretty sure the vocals on LG5 are the same as the ones on 'I Want Your Love'.

She just released a power ballad (TIHTY) where she showed her stripped down vocals.

It had a nice reception the first week, especially for a charity thing, but it doesn't seem to be what the public or the radios expect from Gaga... Or did you feel THIRST for this song?? No...

I don't think she should use the same "weapons" as Adele, they're completely different artists. If I had to pick someone, then I'd rather have her draw inspiration from Sia and release solid powerful pop with great hooks and enough room for her voice to shine...

I'm very satisfied with how her voice sounds on her pop albums.

Her voice on IWYL is great and it is dance / disco...

I want less autotune too but I don't want to hear her forced voice again.. Dope and some parts on TIHTY were too forced to and raw to me..

She does not need ballads to showcase her range, i am more supporting of staying in the pop/electronic theme but increasing her vocals. In ARTPOP her vocals started to reach new heights, and with Cheek To Cheek her range increased a lot, i want those vocals in a pop album, imagine The Fame Monster with that range.

The thread starter still hasn't said why exactly? We know she can sing, the world is catching on now too, so why does she need to do a stripped back album?

Also, I'll be honest, I kind of love people underrating her, and the element of surprise when she amazes. Look at Adele, when she performs live, people expect a stunning vocal performance, so when she does, it's good, but not really a "jawdrop" moment. With Gaga, I love that people will always be surprised when she vocally slays, I kind of don't want to lose that
