Do People Still Stan For Usher?

For the younger generation today, I bet it would be hard for them to believe that there was a time when Usher was the top artist. When I was in 6th grade, the Confessions era was in motion and Usher was massive. He was all the girls' first crush. You couldn't turn on the radio without hearing an Usher song. The Confessions era wasn't even the start of Usher's dominance, however. By the time Confessions was out Usher had already earned three #1's and six top 5's as a lead artist from his second album, My Way, and his third album, 8701Confessions increased those totals to seven #1's and eleven top 5's. Usher's next album Here I Stand was released 4 years after Confessions and earned Usher another #1 hit with "Love In This Club". At the end of the 00's, Billboard named Usher the Singles Artist of the Decade, following Madonna and Mariah with that honor (for the 80's and 90's, respectively). In the 2000's Usher was called the next Michael Jackson.

But in the 2010's Usher's star has begun to fade. He was able to earn a #1 hit with "OMG" and a #4 hit with "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" in 2010, but for some reason he never really stood out that year as a successful artist. Since 2010, Usher has only received one Top 10 hit with "Scream", his other songs have not performed well. he even delayed his album because of poor performance. Now, most artists can't have careers that span multiple generations, but the ones that have had success on Usher's level have remained legendary and are brought up often in pop culture. However, Usher seems to have faded from public consciousness. Its perplexing to me. What do you guys think?

He's probably the first artist that's ever annoyed me with a song. I mean, that isn't rare these days, but Yeah!, the lyrics down to how it sounds, just :saladga:

Yeah, yeah, yeah! Yeah, yeah! Yeah!
Yeah, yeah, yeah! Yeah, yeah! Yeah!

I only like 2 Usher's song and I lived through the 90s.

Those songs are You Make Me Wanna and his cover of Superstar.

The rest are tisk tisk tisk.

I chose Brian McKnight and R.Kelly for R&B male singers that time.

I don't "stan" for him but I still listen to his old and new stuff.

I don't listen to people based on how they're charting. :stalkga:
