According to Digital Sales Data, Gwen Stefani's song "Used To Love You" has sold 13,000 copies on its first day and currently sits at #3 on the iTunes chart. These are great numbers for Gwen if she can keep them up. To put that into perspective, "Wildest Dreams" sold 12.6K copes today. Unfortunately, Gwen released her song on a Tuesday and the tracking week is Friday to Thursday, so her debut week won't be as big as it potentially could have been. Gwen Stefani's last charting song, Baby Don't Lie sold 65k copies in its first week (having had all 7 days to gain sales figures) and debuted at #11 on Digital Songs.

I love Gwen. I think L.A.M.B. is a pop masterpiece, it had great sucess, her music was everywhere in 2005; it had impact not only in music but also in artists (Gaga, Fergie).

But this will flop (yeah yeah despite the first day was good). Don't kill me.

I love Gwen but her music lately hasn't been great...idk what's up but she's had time to put out her best work so far and it seems she keeps giving us the filler tracks and holding back the SINGLES....what's good Gwen? :what:

lol no killing here, everyone's entitled to their opinion. It is getting great reception from the GP on comment sections. Everyones like "this is the Gwen we wanted, baby don't lie and spark the fire were crap" so hopefully this is a sign.

I didn't even know she was releasing new music..  I'm so ready for her to make a legitimate comeback though.

woah, u just made me realize, L.A.M.B came before The Dutchess and The Dutchess has a lot of similar sounds to L.A.M.B. I guess I never realized that cuz The Sweet Escape was out at the same time as The Dutchess so I had it in my head that they started their solo careers at the same time, when its obvious they didn't.

OMG, I was just singing the songs and London Bridge sounds A LOT like Hollaback Girl, and Fergilicous follows the same development as Hollaback Girl

IKR????? London Bridge is a Hollaback Girl rip off. HG along with other songs brought back the urban trend to the music scene. When you realize that L.A.M.B. had this urban gem along with other pop masterpieces like WYWF, Rich Girl and Cool; and some R&B with Luxurious; you understand of how much Gwen is capable of! And don't forget the whole Harajuku Girls theme and it's culture. She mixed all that in one album!

And then, we get Baby Don't Lie, or this new song and it's kinda disappointing...she can do it better.

Also, there is an official remix to "Luxurious" that was out before The Dutchess. However, "Glamourous" had the EXACT same beat as the "Luxurious" remix.

And no, the "luxurious" remix is not a mash up.  I remember vividly how pissed the Gwen fans were that Stacy used the same beat and similar theme.

WOW. I remember when I found out Luxurious was Gwen's song years lately, thought it was like Ciara's or Ashanti's when it was on the radio. Ill have to look the remix up, because Glamorous is my favorite Fergie song.

i think that explains how the remix story goes. The beat and Ludacris' rap was recorded for the Luxurious remix but Gwen rejected it. However the producer Polow Da Don offered the track to Fergie along with the Ludacris rap originally recorded for Gwen.

Valid points, but i do think Baby Don't Lie and Used to Love Me are better than many of the songs on The Sweet Escape. I think that's where things went astray. Like The Sweet Escape (song), 4 in the Morning, Early Winter, Wonderful Life, Wind It Up and MAYBE Orange County Girl are good, but the rest of that album...ouch.
