Ryan Reid 173
Loved this shot of the Countess on AHS this week -- flipped it around to be right side up but on TV it was upside down. They use the light fixture to mimic the halo often seen in depictions of Jesus in Catholic imagery. This is the scene where she "saves" Tristan from Donovan. Juxtaposed against the image of Tristan looking like the Devil. Again, as above, so is below. Good and evil. Love this show!!!
Ryan Reid 173
To top it all off, the Christ halo/light fixture imagery is repeated when we see the Cop in his office at the police station (again, symbolizing he is the “good guy”)... this is the light fixture above his office:
FATCAT 60,100
nnn, the first one is on point, good catch. The second fixture is just coincidence. This kitten over here (meow)
T3ARS 4,132
Every cool find. It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences. - Audre Lorde
Ryan Reid 173
nnn, the first one is on point, good catch. The second fixture is just coincidence. The 2nd is definitely a bit of a stretch, but I still believe it was intentional. In Christ's own words, "I am the way, the truth and the light." Light = Christ. I don't believe that fixture above the Cop's office is coincidence.

At first I thought you were talking about textures and lighting in the Halo 5 game but then I opened the post and then I was like well yeah the first is right the second is a light nothing more. Ryan Reid 173
Fun fact (aka, trolling, LOL)... Madonna used this same imagery on the "Like a Prayer" single cover art. :)

Bear 7,515
If this was anything else I'd say it was just co-incidence. But after watching all the seasons I know how much emphasis is put on symbolism and imagery and I 100% agree with you. Nice find
