I don't know. She doesn't have the broad appeal of Taylor or the newness of Arianna. She's also very rebellious and provocative and her songs are more complex than "falling in love" or "driving to the mall" which is another thing against her. It seems she's alright with that too, as long as she makes music she's proud of that's all that matters to her. I don't think it's possible to recapture that initial era, she had a lot of things working for her that she won't have now. She was fresh and new, had futuristic sounding radio-friendly dance bops, and her style was different from everyone at the time. She won't have those things working for her anymore. I have a feeling she'll be more like Beyonce, Cher or Christina, a versatile public figure but not really a radio artist. She'll never be irrelevant and she can do many things.

Of course. She can write them in her sleep. She had them on ARTPOP (DWUW, Gypsy, Venus, Sexxx Dreams) but the management of the era plus the drama within the haus and her label really stunted things.

Look at how well everything has been managed since the start of Cheek To Cheek. Everything points to a successful 2016 pop campaign.

Also, everybody seems to forget that Applause was one of her longest charting top 10's (At least in America).

ya it wasn't exactly a small hit.

it was like pretty ****ing huge, and everyone I know has it and dwuw (also a pretty ****ing huge song)

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

its kinda like how xtinas career is going, still making amazing music, just not really super commercial, which is fine.

If we're talking as big as Poker Face, Romance, Just Dance or Born This Way then probably not. She'll have another Telephone/Paparazzi sized hit for sure though (LG5 Lead Single). But you never know, if she makes some amazing pop music & promotes it then she very well could.

I feel like she might have a chance with a more soulful ballad like "say something". but the conditions have to be right.

Why is this question even being asked?

OF COURSE she will. Every album so far has had several potential global hits, and many of them were lucky enough to see that success.

But it's about more than just having the music be infectious and "quality". The timing, the visuals, the sound... everything has to be right place/right time.

actually, (gaga on LG5): "And this record is like—my old self as a cadaver. And I’m just, I’m operating on my old self."  (see http://www.rte.ie/ten/news/2014/1223/668636-gagas-next-album-like-operating-on-old-self/)
