Don't you remember the green wig, and the mechanical horse though?They started shading each other around the BTW era after we pitted them against each other with 34324234 stupid comparisons and with who was better, then the labels started pressuring them to become more like the other, hence Gaga saying in the SXSW interview that everyone compares/wants her to be Katy but they couldn't be more unlike each other If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. Wished they could collaborate one day and stop the fanbase feud omg Girl, even if they collaborated on each other's albums and both songs went to # 1 for several weeks, the feud between the two fan bases would not end. Little Monsters and Katy Kats would find any reason to shade each other's fave, etc. It's unfortunate, but true. I don't care what you think about unless it is about me. Once their careers took off they seemed to support eachother. I think Katy supported Gaga more than Gaga did for Katy, like doing covers. Then Gaga went Supernova and left Katy behind. I don't think Katy is the envious type but I think she felt left behind. So once Katy surpassed Gaga the relationship went south. I think I remember Katy talking to someone about rivalries/competition and she was checked on that. I don't think they're on bad terms but they're not as close as they were in the beginning. From what I can remember Gaga never tweeted @ Katy till the Applause/Roar leaks. Katy tweeted her a happy birthday and Gaga never responded. Maybe it really was the fan wars and them actually becoming competition for each other that did it. The shady tweets (blasphemy, horse/green hair), Gaga saying that time "I don't know what the f*ck I have to do with Katy Perry" - I know what she meant but phrasing it that way comes off as rude tbh, she coulda just said something nice.I don't think they were ever close or even really 'friends', but they were at least friendly. It's where Gaga has that huge headpiece on and they exchange some nice words before Gaga awkwardly kind of goes off while Katy makes an equally awkward joke about a Hershey's Kiss or something I'm pretty sure it was at the EMAs anyway.
