HDD: Revival to debut with 75-85k copies sold

naht people claiming this is good but coming for honeymoon's 100k+ opening with literally zero promotion. selena is a popular artist and this album has had two popular singles, especially GFY which has been big on radio for ages.

i like the album but these sales are bad.

Lana's first week Honeymoon sales were okay-ish.They were bad for her standards because her last album (Ultraviolence) without promotion sold like 50k more..But the worst part was the 88% fall in the second week..

Selena's first week sales on the other hand are not bad compared to her previous first week sales.And including the fact that she totally changed the style of her music and lost a big part of the disney fanbase,I could say that her sales are fine

When your song has been getting over 100m AI for weeks, you have enough exposure to get 100k sales.

Lana's decrease from UV was to be expected with the quick decline of album sales, and the fact that she did even less promotion with Honeymoon. UV was also riding off the back of a huge era, whereas Honeymoon was not.

Let's not forget that someone like Halsey, a complete commercial non-factor, will have sold more than Selena Gomez who's currently playing ball as a major pop star. 75k is not a good showing whatever way you slice it. Not terrible. But definitely in no way good.

Although I'd agree that we have to wait to see Bieber's sales as his last proper album came out in a very different sales climate. Even Miley Cyrus transitioned from tween star to legitimate pop star and had people buy her album... The majority of pop girls' audiences are teens/young adults, so I do not think Selena's audience is very different to her peers that are selling.

They are bad for this era  Surely whether she is a good album seller and how her album is selling are conversations that overlap a great deal? Guys, didn't anyone learn anything from ARTPOP? Music not the bling. The album is really good and fun and there are some really great songs. I really like this new direction Selena took.

Which was already sad enough numbers, especially for an artist who was at one time an album seller. HM dropped so fast...already out of the top 20 and only selling about 13k a week. I wonder if Honeymoon will even make it to 300k or so? 

Selena at least some has some single sales that help pad her low numbers...especially if she gets a couple of more hits. It is better than nothing, I guess.
