Well yes I'm sure Katy was very happy for her But I assume she'd be sort of sad about not winning it Nothing personal though, just joking. LoveandMagic 1,731 Posted October 10, 2015 Share Posted October 10, 2015 The thing to take away from these awards is that it's an honor just to get the nomination, because it means your album made enough of an impact with the GP and judges that it was heavily considered for a Grammy win. Everyone works hard and wants the award, but even if you lose, you still win, because you get to walk away with a Grammy nominated album, which is nothing to sneeze at. I see nothing wrong with what Taylor is saying, because it's a mature response that could have come from any big name in the industry. Obviously you're going to be upset if a project you worked hard on and was hyped up to be a winner of a prestigious award didn't get the win after all. I believe she would have been okay with a non-win had it not been so hyped for the win, she was obviously proud of the album. She didn't complain about the judges or the public or cause a scene. She acted like a professional adult. She hid her disappointment and was gracious to the winners. Others go through the same thing as well and it's all about how you handle the situation that says what kind of person you are. She's not really b---hing here, she is just mentioning how sad she was at the outcome but how she knew she needed to pick herself up and move on because it's part of being in the industry. Other big names/talents have had to go through the same thing. It is what it is. All you can do is your very best. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
