Gaga showed up with the iconic meat dress, and Nicki wore a chicken wing necklace :later:

Why is it difficult for artists these days to acknowledge their peers as source for their inspiration?

Nicki you are literally a bug. Gaga decided to be on tv as an actress & yet you followed behind. not saying you can't but you've always copied Gaga months after she does something & think the GP wont know it.

Saying all that while wearing TFM Wig teas! #GirlBye

take your time now, there's no need to rush. ❣

Which part of Asia? It's a massive continent with many different stereotypical looks.

Oh, I meant like Southeast Asia. I think it's pretty much because of the makeup tho.

@Spock I messed up your title accidentally when merging the threads and I tried editing it back to what I could remember it being before :duck: Sorry about that, please feel free to edit it back to what it was before

One of Minaj’s most fascinating stylistic tricks as a performer has been incorporating alter egos, not only the Barbie doll (which she calls Harajuku Barbie) but Roman, an outspoken gay boy who lives inside of her. These alter egos, which have extensively detailed identities, seem exemplary of the way that women are forced to assume different personae to get through the day. But when I asked why she hadn’t called on them much on her last album, she gave me a vague answer about how they were only ‘‘funny’’ and were still around somewhere. Early in her career, she also adopted Lady Gaga’s method of saturating the media with outrageous costumes, but now, when I asked if Gaga influenced her, she shot back, with a look of such intense disapproval my hair curled: ‘‘I don’t even want to discuss that. That’s so old to me.’’

Gaga influenced all of the pop girls around 2010-11. Her impact is so obvious.

it's funny how nicki suddenly stopped dressign as crazy as usual when gaga's hype started to go down in 2012-13. it's almost like her entire career she just tried to compete with gaga's standards, and no longer felt the need to when gaga was out of the way. :green:

You don't deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you.
