Do you agree on the Gaga-Katy comparisons?

Yeah but while Katy wasn't allowed to eat deviled eggs Gaga was rocking to Pink Floyd... it does make a difference, what I mean is that Gaga is a true artist in my opinion and Katy is being instructed what to do all the time.

I mean yeah I agree, she was more fortunate.

Katy Perry: Paula Abdul

Don't disrespect Paula like that. She was at least a killer dancer.

They're only being compared because they're both succesful female acts in the commercial pop business - nothing else.

I think it's fair for the GP to compare them - they both wear "out there" outfits, both make pop music, both are female and both came out around the same time.

In my opinion, Katy's concepts/ideas seem to be more simplistic than Gaga's, and perhaps that's more appealing to some people and that's okay. There's no need to delegitimise her work to make Gaga's artistry seem superior - at the end of the day it all comes down to personal preference.

Actually Katy struggled a lot before achieving success. Believe it or not, she ACTUALLY worked hard. Why the hate? :neyde:

I truthfully believe that Gaga's is superior though. :wtfga:

Gaga's weave can't be touched by anyone :gaga:

I don't like the comparison because they're very different musically and they seem to have different visions as artists. The very few similarities between them is that they both make pop music and debuted in the same era.

This too!

Apples and oranges? Why?

Their backgrounds and references in music quite differ.

Do your own research.
