McCarthy is in the run to replace John Boener as Speaker of the House. 

House Republicans have sharply repudiated McCarthy's comments that suggested the House select committee investigating Benghazi had succeeded by tarnishing Clinton, saying it undermined their party's messaging on a key issue and raised questions about his ability to be the GOP's top communicator.

Wait but aren't Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton the most popular candidates?  

I'm not particularly on top of American politics, but it sounds like you either take the man who's going to try and deport a good portion of the American workforce or you take a politician who does what politicians have always done (not condoning anything but tell me she's not the lesser evil).

Yep....everyone knew this! It was a smear campaign set up by the Republicans. Glad this guy messed up and admitted it. The GOP party is so pissed at him right now! Lol
