There are moments where I think it's going well. And then the rest sounds like I have too many open tabs playing music at the same time.

I know which parts you're talking about, i'll fix it.

It's yours? Sorry for being so damn blunt. It's the late night wine. I couldn't do a fraction of any of that and wish I could so I hope what I said didn't offend. I really like the ethereal/floating and layered sound to it, it does feel like if it was clicked into place just a bit, it would really be cohesive and awesome.

It's okay, you've just honored me compared to what others have said :laughga:

I always liked the production of this song, the bass/drums in the beginning and background. I always thought it would be an awesome pace/remix layer for a song like paparazzi or the 2010 Brit Awards DiTD sample. I'm rambling. The point is, I can't physically make the things I can hear in my head and wish I could. Maybe one day i'll teach myself so that I don't sound like a crazy man trying to explain my ideas.

and also: **** the haters. seriously. ANYONE who makes...who physically creates has my respect. I don't care how ****ty it turns out. Having the ability to MAKE things and present them to the world is incredible. People make livings off of all sorts of ****-- and that's because the reality is that the greatest barrier to success isn't god-like and unpracticed talent, its the ability to put something on the plate and serve it. The world is full of procrastinating artists. I don't know if your first, tenth, or hundredth effort will be the one that does it-- but god damn it the effort will pay off. Thank you for making something instead of being just another armchair critic. Let me know when you've edited that mix again and I'd like to give it another go.

I love the layers. I can agree it's little messy, but I don't think there is too much going on. I think it's dynamics that are the issue. Figure out which tracks should be turned up or turned down and it'll be perfect. Turn the vocal up though. That'll help! Thanks for this! The chaotic siren sound fits, love it!

Ouuh, this is a cool mix!

But it does fall a bit flat tho, as the stems are a bit repetetive and the chorus doesn't really shine like it does on the album. The only thing that makes the chorus pop in this mix are the backing vocal layers, instead of the instrumental you made, if you know what I mean. But it's a cute, dreamy and futuristic yet retro mix. I like it. I like the bridge tho!
