Although it might not be as polished as a lot of the music video's that come out nowadays, I think it's an incredibly powerful video that gives deep insights into Dan's everyday feelings. He has admitted in interviews how he suffers from anxiety and depression, and I think this video is a very pure expression of those feelings. Although I never really expected them to release Friction as a single, since the radio would never pick that song up . I'm So Sorry and Polaroid would've been great though . I think it's one of the most personal music video's that I've ever seen. It really gives you a look into Dan's psyche and it's amazing how honest it all is. I hope they release more commercial material (just realized Night Visions is commercial tho) next time despite the fact that I adore their first two albums I hope Smoke + Mirrors receives Grammy nominations next year.
