Not even with an Oscars performance, just like there was no way G.U.Y. could have reached higher on the charts. Y'all forget we still live in a patriarchy and that there's barely no way that songs that call the **** out of our society are gonna be #1 for 60 weeks. If you stop to think about it, this is the exact same reason why 'Blurred Lines' -a song that was literally about ignoring a woman's decisons about wether or not having s-x with her AKA a song that glorifyed rape- had so much success.
