Your first post and it's already a hot trending topic! Slay I guess lol. Welcome to GGD.

OT: Meh, I stopped caring about charts after ARTPOP. As long as LG5 has good bops, I really wont care if her songs chart or not.

i  have also experience in a fan forum of my favourite jpop band AAA. That group debuted in sept 2005 and didn t have big success and  acclaim until 2013 when their song Koi to Oto Amasora became famous and even reached 35m in youtube which is big for a jpop act. By that time in that forum where we were barely 100 people in 2013 it  exploded with  increase in members and some people that first time they heared AAA was in 2013 were calling themselves  die-hard fans and i was like  (FAKE):pole: BITCH GET OFF MY POLE  Also  some of them abandoned Jpop Queen Ayumi Hamasaki and went the Namie Amuro Train after Party Queen sales flop in 2012.

This thread gets rehashed every other day.

I am apart of this community and I care about the sales and the charts. This doesn't make me a fake fan; this makes me logical.  How the hell can an artist's career survive if they are not generating any profit? I know this, a majority of members know this, Interscope know this and so does Gaga.  It is a business.

Gaga is just as thirsty for success as we are, hence her tweet to Carly when she got #1 and the iconic "STREAM APPLAUSE ON A LOOP/BUY APPLAUSE ON ITUNES"

If you were as knowledgable on this forum as your first post indicates then you would see that a majority of people here are kind and caring fans and have been so for many years so you do not have a right to judge.  If it weren't for the 'fake fans' then Gaga wouldn't have the sales/views she has now.

Also, Katy is not a 'basic b---h' and I'd really consider getting some new material because those insults died in 2013.

Not a good first impression :bye:

There are a lot of ways for an artist with decreased sales to survive. First of all touring like U2 and Madonna. Second,  even with medium sales like 2m albums a album WW you can make profit. Also profit comes from other sources like fragrances and beauty lines launched by artists.

Just learn to stan for Lana then you'll understand music not the bling

imo, the phrase "music, not the bling" is just as misinterpreted among fans as the message of BTW.

gaga's artistry and that of lana are different. comparing them, therefore, is not really fair.

if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back

It's all about loving music. If people following around money and how much fame rise about the same artist so that's really petty to mind.

I could care less about her success also could care less about her I'm 100% here for more music of her and I'll gladly buy it but I don't follow her anymore I guess I moved on and only care for her music not every single move she makes.

You have to have some level of success in order to get these endorsements like a fragrance or beauty line.

If an artist is failing to hit target or make much revenue then budget is decreased; lesser music videos, tours and production. It is a business; the aim is to make money.

Why would a label invest time and money in an artist that is failing to make them a profit and we all know how greedy record labels are.

I don't understand why people are condemned to hell if they want both the music and the bling when that is what the industry is built upon; bling.

i don t say success is a bad thing, i say that fake fans are here and next day are somewhere else  they are addicted mostly  to  superficial superstadom level stars(they stan TS recently). Gaga told Howard Stern in November 2013 that she doesn t want to worshiped like the most incredible thing in the world, doesnt need a throne at all and she feels like one of her fans:trollga:

Gaga says a lot of contradictory things. Welcome to the fanbase. Add it to the list of betrayals.

I only care about sales because this b---h deserves to be one of the top selling artist of all time! She is so amazing and so talented that, naturally, I would want nothing but continued success for her.

However, that doesn't make or break my bond with her and her art. I will form my own opinions outside of sales figures
