Ahmed say he made the clock from scratch but he lied which doubt his credibility.

He never said that he made it from scratch. It's pathetic to see someone who is probably older than this kid trying to call him a liar.

He said he threw it together in about 20 minutes before bedtime on Sunday. When did he say "I made it from scratch"?

Some people on Internet may have said that he invented the clock or that he made it from scratch but it's not his fault people are too damn stupid to investigate what really happened.

Hoax clock :lmao:

it was a ****ing clock. :toofunny:

Also Ahmed brought it to show to his engineer teacher and he praised him for it. It was a pencil case not suitcase as you claimed earlier. He didn't just bring it to carry it around school, stop twisting facts.

You didn't provide receipts that he said "I made clock from scratch". So you are the one who's lying.

The fact that you believe, in this time of police brutality, non-white 9th grader KNEW he'll be arrested, he KNEW his story will go viral, he KNEW that most will support him,he KNEW he will be noticed by Obama, Hillary, Zuckenberg, Twitter co. and NASA.... he actually planned all that.:lmao:

If you wanna write more conspiracy scenarios for some crappy American movie, here's some material for you

 - did you know that Steve Jobs was Syrian?(connect him to refugees)

- did you know his father's name was , Abdulfattah "John" Jandali? (here you can connect him to al-qaeda)

- here is one of the first Apple's computers

You can continue...

Ahmed is the biggest con artist in 2015. First he lied about inventing that clock when actually he just unscrewed an old alarm clock and put it in a pencil box. Then he showed it to his engineering teacher who approved it because of his engineering knowledge but ask him to be careful. Then he set the alarm to beep in his English class purposely so his clueless English teacher would call the principal then the police. Now he get tons of supporters worldwide and get over $10K in Microsoft products, go to the White House, get job offer at Twitter, field trips to famous corporations and laboratories. A CEO even pledge $250K in scholarships, and people already donate almost $8K to his GoFundMe account. Good chance he's been used by his father for publicity since he had tried to run for president of Sudan.

Obama would be a fool if his advisors tell him that clock is fraud and he meet him anyway.

Please don't be conned by Ahmed. Learn the truth.

Read about reverse engineering of the clock.

... because of clear racial profiling

Nah, it was because he had a suspicious-looking item.

This happens all the time. A white kid was arrested and placed in handcuffs for writing a story about shooting a dinosaur. He wasn't invited to the White House. :emma:

Some 14 year old gets arrested for putting a clock in a pencil case and you're pressed because of how he made it?

Who cares if his clock is a "hoax"? If it's such a basic hoax of a design then clearly he was still smarter about it than his teachers who looked at it themselves and saw fit to have him arrested.

Now you're saying he's a con artist, like he planned to get all this attention and whatnot from the incident.

At the very least, this is a kid who's obviously interested in engineering, even if he didn't reinvent the ****ing clock as a 14 year old, and now he's got a great start to a career.

It's not impressive to unscrew a panel and dump the internals into a case. I just feel kinda disappointed.

Not knowing much about electronics I can't be sure he didn't build it himself, but it does look bad. :smh:

My husband made one of these into a lamp: http://sconniesisters.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/chai.jpg

He drilled a little hole in the bottom of the back for the cord to feed through, got the lightbulb in there, and painted the inside with this stuff to give it a frosty lining which spreads the light nicely and makes it so you can't see through the glass when it's on.
It's a really cool addition to his desk, but ultimately he just painted the inside of a jar and put a lightbulb inside.

HOWEVER. That doesn't take away from the project. There still is some skill, patience, and creativity required.

Did this kid just take the inside of a clock and put it in a box? Yes. But he knows what the parts do, he took something that already existed and made it his own creative project. That's not disappointing. Kids rarely like actually take those things apart to figure out how they work, but he did.

Also note the kid didn't say he "invented" the clock. He said he likes to invent things, but he specified that he simply "made" the clock. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mW4w0Y1OXE But there are people getting caught up on semantics.
