Didymus 34,380
However, you're saying as if the entire military budget is being used for internationally illegal purposes and that's simply wrong. Without all this budget, Israel would've been erased from the world map by now. There is a reason for this budget. Beleive me, we all would've preferred a lower military budget but we aren't the ones who decide unfortunately. You'd have to ask the thousands of terrorists and enemies Israel is surrounded by to stop first. The Palestinian-Israeli conflict has nothing to do with this at all. It's Israel's enemies that have nothing to do with it I'm talking about illegal settling, not even about military violence. And there is literally no rational reason for the settlements, so any budget for it is bound to be called unnecessary and criminal in the face of budget cuts for EDUCATION of Israel's own citizens. & referring to terrorists/enemies to semi-defend illegal construction and military conduct is rich coming from someone who called out a member on the previous page for using false arguments to make a biased comment. TiphEret 1,320
Which would be: Europe and the U.S. finally punishing Israel for decades of illegal conduct, BUT the U.S. will never allow it because Israel is an important ally and Europe will never act on its own for such a major decision so the situation is just trapped. The only thing I can think of that would help is public pressure from U.S. & Europe citizens.I think we needs more dialogues, the problem is that at this point after 60 years of existence and therefore war between Israeli and Palestinian none believe in any possibility of dialogues let it be two state or one state solution. And it won't happen when one of the side isn't even recognized officially by the other and when it is being controlled by the army. There is no equality between them and without this no possible dialogue. So yes it is f°cked up that other so called democratic countries let this happen, that they let a country oppress a minority like this and getting away with it. I feel that in some ways Palestinian will one day disappear and in maybe 100 years Israel will do a mea culpa but it won't matter because Palestinian won't be a problem if they don't exist anymore right? Melech 9,900
Israel might not be the worst country ever, but it is clearly one of the worst countries!Instead to stabilise the whole region, it goes on and on with its Zionist agenda.yeah worst countries when there are tons of countries who persecute homos-xuals and are s-xist as fück. But Israel is one of the worst. Yeah sure. "Zionist agenda" maybe you should look up what your country did and why Zionism (aka Israel right to exists) is important. I disagree with settlements and netanjahus policy but Israel has the right to exists.
Didymus 34,380
yeah worst countries when there are tons of countries who persecute homos-xuals and are s-xist as fück. But Israel is one of the worst. Yeah sure. "Zionist agenda" maybe you should look up what your country did and why Zionism (aka Israel right to exists) is important. I disagree with settlements and netanjahus policy but Israel has the right to exists. But you're saying two different things now. Zionism is what supports and has supported the expansion of settlements for decades now. It has also supported Netanyahu's idea to make Arabs second rate citizens, it obviously inspires budget cuts for all non-Jewish school systems (incl. ones who are laughably unfit to educate people in a supposedly Westernized society), it inspires the buliding of nuclear forces which has led to one of the most extensive nuclear programs in the world, it inspires Israel to not have to take part in the refugee crisis,...Does that make Zionism a bad thing? No. Does that mean Israel has no right to exist?Whatever, 'cause who cares about the "right" of anything that's already long happened and past us?But it does mean that social/political/religious Zionism has directly resulted in illegal, dangerous and violent consequences that have destabilized the entire region while being protected from justified punishments because of their non-Zionist political involvement in warfare.I get what you are saying on a personal level, but that doesn't cancel out the bigger picture. And the bigger picture is one of a highly criminal country that has free rein in illegal practices, often including unnecessary violence against innocents, that has one of the most dangerous nuclear forces in the world and is entirely backed by the United States, another highly criminal country deeply involved in horrifying crimes, all in a narrative of "protection" (not unlike Israel actually). So, though I'm afraid you're gonna read this whole thing as a semi-antisemitic attack on everything that is Israel, I think it's warranted for someone to roll their eyes at a news article like this and say "of course, it's Israel" just like people do with the U.S. and pretty much the entire Middle East. I personally can't think of any reason why Israel should not be included.
