No i am not, no she is not :reductive2: she has an amazing voice but she has very unhealthy technique, she raises her larynx to reach those "big notes" creating artificial richer and bigger sound. This leads to her damaging her vocal chords. She can not belt a proper resonant C5 anymore, she strains and keeps her throath closed most of the time. Here is a video showing her good and bad notes, sadly she rarely uses healthy technique. So i disagree with her teaching anybody when she herself can not sing properly, here is the vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbUuzcg8CKw

You can not hide if nobody pays attention to you :*

im sorry but I have to disagree very strongly. She has excelent and very elastic technique. Sure every one has bad days but shes absolutely a stable vocal powerhouse virtuoso even these days when she has realised that less is more with ad libs. Yeah you are wrong and rely on a stupid unfounded amateur YouTube a--lyzis? Lol. Ever heard of tonality and The ability to change your vocal tone and sound according to The need and expression. Thats true mastery of your instrument aka technique honey ;) stop embarrasing yourself. :)

It doesn't take a world-class voice to spot good technique, it takes ears that know what to look for.

The problem is that Xtina's bad days happen more often then her good days.

Now I know NEITHER of you watched the video @Moncher linked becuase the video was completely unbiased and even showed some of her best vocal moments. It just showed undeniable examples of Xtina's regularly faulty technique.

OT: Despite the way Xtina uses her voice I'm sure she has enough musical expertise to be an effective teacher. Lemme go gather my coins and get schooled by legendtina :gaycat:

faulty technique? Still noup. She prob choose to use certain sound because shes that good. Its like playing in instrument on professional level; you can produce 100 different sounds from one key in piano depending on your technique and ssonority/sound you want. From sharp and dry to lush and rich... Same with voice.

Okay so from this comment it's obvious that you don't know about proper singing technique, so why are you debating technical singing?  Would you critic an English paper if you didn't speak English? :derpga:Watch the video Moncher linked (here's the link again if you don't want to scroll up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbUuzcg8CKw ) and see the differences between the clips. The video clearly shows Xtina has the potential to be a flawless singer, it shows some amazing moments where she truly sings like a world class vocalist. It's just that most the time she pushes up her larynx to "enhance" the sound of her belts. Not only does it make for a less pleasant sound but also over time using that kind of technique does permanent damage to your voice, and that's why it's labeled as bad technique.

Here's a video that explains it well:

Remember it's possible to say that Christina has an amazing voice(which nobody is arguing that she doesn't) but at the same time acknowledge that she sometimes doesn't use it correctly.
