Just because we don't like Taylor as a person doesn't mean we can't bop to her songs. I give credit where credit is due. I do (legally) own the deluxe of 1989, after all (plus I bought two of her Red singles). We should all be fair in admitting that people we don't like can make things we love and vice versa. I just wish they spent less time on pretty landscape shots and Taylor holding up yellow cloth and more on the romance. Good choice in leading men. The Lana influences, though: the dark hair, the Hollywood theme, holding that cloth like Lana holds the flag in Ride, plus the song itself is practically a homage to Without You. I don't mind at all, actually. I'm not one of those people who's like "artists can never be inspired by their contemporaries. ever."
