I can... In multiple occasions tbh.

Its terrible to look back to and talk about. You don't feel the same and  you feel like you have an aura of sadness around you at all moments.

that song resonates with me and my life circumstances on a very deep level.
14 months ago I nearly took my own life. Nobody around me realizes how it feels to be in that position. They can not understand what it is like to have those type of thoughts both in the moment and even in your past.

I can at some extent. Like, I've been through things and people were like "you'll be fine blablablabla" and stereotypical shallow cheering up advise and I like "yeah right :bye: " but I've never been raped in a campus? idk

But needless to say, there's no direct reference to rape or a campus. The only reason we've read it that way is because we were explicitly told the background of the song.

OP: I certainly can relate.

I can relate and I am happy that Gaga did this for rape victims, it really means a lot to me and I was a little destroyed when she did that Swine art performance and this truly makes up for it with me. It just bothered me, to be honest.

I do relate to it. My Mother told me that I was molested as a small child by another family member the same month that the recording of the song was put on the internet. I had literally just found out I had been raped when I was a toddler, and Gaga put out a song about rape right after. It was a crazy coincidence. Honestly I think the lyrics are cliche, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry when I first heard it. The emotion of the instrumental, and Gaga's voice hit me hard. Knowing that the musician I look up to the most has felt the same hurt that I have, and is brave enough to sing about it to the world makes me feel better about overcoming my own struggles. Gaga has't let it ruin her life so why should I? I can be strong too. Sorry this post is long!

That must have been terrifying to learn about. I'm happy you found a sense of comfort through the song. Even though you don't remember the incident, do you still have behavior and/or personality issues or changes because of having that experience? You don't have to answer if its too personal. I'm just wondering.
