I wonder if she dies the first episode, like a flashback moment, and then returns for the last eight episodes. 

They sometimes shoot the scenes in a random order depending on locations and/or actor/actress availability. They may as well shoot all the scenes at one location instead of travelling to and from a location at different times. Since Gaga is filming all her scenes in one window of time, she may be dying one minute, then having s-x with Matt  and then killing b---hes the next day. 

EDIT: For example: in The Lord of the Rings, the first scene in the first movie where Gandalf rides into The Shire with the horse and carriage was filmed on the same day as the four hobbits returning at the end of The Return of the King. It kinda makes more sense to do it that way in terms of cost and time.
