I mean I don't like them and I don't care about them but he is getting paid for talking about them. That's his job and he could have ignored it and act indifferent towards it but he decided to make a scene. Very unprofessional and stupid. And come on, you work for FOX News.

Some of you may think it was ok but none of you actually work for a TV show. Most of you don't even have a serious job.

Well isn't it great than that that audience is exposed to Caitlyn? Maybe one of them will start to question themselves and say "Why do I hate them so much? Why do I hate Caitlyn?" and start looking into themselves and figure out some things and maybe, just maybe, start to see life outside of what is right in front of them.

Most conservatives will not think that way. I guarantee it.

I don't hate them but I'll never understand why people find them so appealing

Because straight men everywhere were interested in seeing the daughter of a famous lawyer engage in s-x with her then boyfriend. Women wanted to find out if her ass was really that big. And instead of laying low, she took the opportunities that came out of that attention, along with her mother and entire family. They're realityshow was a huge hit and people didn't admit it at first but it was addictive junk-tv that a lot of people loved. Like all things reality tv, everyone expected the hype to die down but the opposite happened and that's where the hatred started. Kim had high profile relationships and their empire started to grow. Clothing lines, books, cosmetics, all kinds of merch... It became massive. People started to feel offended a "cheap starlet" like her was going places. Invited to high profile talk shows and then she started dating Kanye and got introduced into high fashion. In the fashion world, Kim was like Voldemort. You didn't speak her "trashy" name in front of famed designers. Two years later, she covered Vogue while many swore Anna would've rather died if you'd asked her the chance of Kim landing a cover in 2009. Then her sister became a high fashion model, something which is still controversial (visit The Fashion Spot and their endless discussion about Kendall "not being a real model").

To sum it all up, Kim refused to be slut shamed and took advantage of the hype for her family's benefit. Their show is on in 125 countries, they are worth millions and millions and they know how to keep the attention. They beat the odds of being marginalised and use the hate to their advantage, which I find incredibly smart.

And now there's Caitlyn, which is just so positive to me.

It has news value because her father is the first transgender woman with that level of fame.

No, lemme stop you right there. The name of Kylie Jenner's rabbit is not "newsworthy". It's tripe. :rip:

Well it kind of is if she names it after the original name her transgender father had. And he's the most famed American athlete of all time... It's a cute story actually, I don't get why everyone is hating on the damn bunny being named after the biggest thing to happen to the transgendered community since well, ever!

Who would've guessed the amounts of gays on here who suddenly are so wholesome and conservative.

Where to begin?

Firstly, I wish our news stations reported actual news instead of Entertainment news. This idea of a 24 hour news cycle means we are left with a lot of fluff. While there are definitely viewers for this sort of thing, it would be nice to have a much broader line between what is actual news of importance (world news, local news, politics, etc) and the entertainment stuff, preferably at different times or different channels.

Secondly, while I'm certainly not crazy about them myself, this is very unprofessional behavior. Plus wasn't this on an Entertainment segment? So it was kind of a relevant topic since our society is obsessed with them and made them such a huge part of pop culture. I'm sorry he has had to talk about them every day, but he is making serious cash doing it and it's not like his job is very difficult. So I can't sympathize too much since he only works a few hours a day at a laid back, breezy job making beaucoup bucks. This is no real burden on his life. I wish I could get paid serious cash to talk about celebrities for an hour or two a day. Throw me several of them Benjamins and I will talk about the shape of Kim's asshole for two hours straight.

It's so funny, as someone else has already pointed out it was the media built them up, the people bought it and made them bigger, and now the media has to cater to that demand. It was a very mutually beneficial arrangement, it's not the Kardashian's fault that people want to see them do...stuff. For whatever reason they are highly marketable. The only way to stop the Kardashian phenomenon is to STOP WATCHING. Unfortunately for all those that hate them there are enough who love them to keep them relevant. And with Kanye and Kim's marriage and Caitlyn Jenner's recent reveal, they are more of a commodity now than ever before. So we can expect to continue hearing more and more about them. That's how media works in the States. We are OBSESSED with celebrities, even if we aren't really sure how they became celebrities in the first place.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Lol while I agree that Kylie Jenner getting a rabbit isn't news at all, that was ridiculously unprofessional. He must've known that reporting entertainment 'news' would be a part of his job when he signed up? So why doesn't he just suck it up and do what he's paid to do?

Also I'm so bored of the Kardashian hate bandwagon lol. I'm not a fan at all but it's really easy to just not pay attention if you don't like them that much...

ok? obviously I know they're successful.

I was just saying I'll never understand what people find appealing about them in general - starting with their TV show and then all the products. I don't see anything interesting or noteworthy at all in any of them (other than Caitlyn, but that's more recent).

I also want to point out that if a show is going to report on the happenings of the Celebrity/Entertainment world, I actually really appreciate that they are reporting on something positive.

Too often we see celebrities being made fun of, their messier outfits getting trashed, feuds are talked about, etc. but how often do you really see positive celebrity things reported? Sure, a Kardashian getting a bunny is cringeworthy to call "News," but if they're going to report on celebrity culture anyways, a story about a girl naming her rabbit Bruce in honor of her father is a story I'd take a million times over a report on some shady tweet someone made.

I had no idea, lol. But I guess I am. I like them a lot. They're breaking barriers and if people can't see that well... they're just behind.

And why would that be? Oh wait, they "don't have any talent"? Yet they're generating millions out of TV shows, clothing lines, stores, ... But having businesses is not a talent?
