People aren't ignorant because they criticized these people. They let their emotions cloud their judgments, okay fair enough but that doesn't mean their actions are okay, what they did was wrong and it's good people are see that.

if you read my entire statement you would see that I'm not justifying their actions. By all means criticize them. Even I, "a good person", criticize them, but I would never demean anyone by calling them degrading names.

"After activists from the Black Lives Matter movement repeatedly disrupted speeches by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) over the past few weeks, the popular and populist presidential candidate released a comprehensive racial justice platformand hired a young racial justice activist as his national press secretary."

I'm just going to leave this here too. Notice that he did not become demeaning. He identified the problem and he is solving it. And I hope I didn't like upset you or anything. I just wanted to present a new perspective to this thread.

Every person there had a recording device on them. Any altercation would have ended up on every news channel for days and weeks. Are you really this clueless?

Okay, you're right. It just pisses me off that nothing can be done about this ****. Maybe security can stop them from taking stage in the first place? Maybe security can be dressed in normal clothes so if anything happens, Bernie can just say people in the audience did it.

negative........

the best way to stop these kinds of protests is to implement changes (like Bernie is suggesting)

then they won't have any reason to protest

Yep! That was a smart move on Bernie's part. I also believe that he really wanted to hear about the problems, and then he put a plan together to address those issues. It is the best way to diffuse a situation.

But he can't implement the changes until he's elected in, so that's not an immediate solution to a serious problem. If this starts happening more often, it could hurt him.

Stating the obvious there... none of the nominees can implement changes until they are elected.

What they can do is communicate during this time what they hope to do on issues that are important to them. That's what all these speeches are for...to let the voters know where they stand on issues and what their priorities are.

Bernie did find an immediate solution, which was to listen to those who were protesting and make a plan to help the people the protesters were representing. Doing that has only helped him, not hurt him, and he needs the black vote (of at least half of it) to have a chance at being nominated.

Quit victimizing Bernie. It is an immature and short-sighted way to look at this situation. He was smart enough to not make himself out to be the victim, but to meet the problem head on and change it into a positive...and that has only helped him!

You're right, all is well that ends well and I was very impressed reading what he plans to do for these people. The only problem is that now some think he's weak. Donald Trump for example just bashed him to hell for this but I don't think that'll hurt much.

lol, Donald Trump is all entertainment and no substance. Donald is going to end up bashing everyone to hell. Bernie is one in a long line of people that Trump has or will bash along the way.

lol, you are worrying about silly things. We have many months to go. Everything isn't an immediate "do or die situation". Let it all play out...you never know what will happen.

Do you think Bernie can get his name recognition up enough before primaries? I think he should start making appearances on daytime TV like The View, GMA, Ellen, etc.

Maybe...depends on what comes from Hillary's emails and if Bernie can get a good percentage of the female, black and Latino vote.

I think if he can publicity for his new racial justice platform, that'll help him with blacks a lot. I just hope that not many women vote for Hilary just because she's a women. It seems some people may do that.
