They did not mean that she should not promote her singles,album etc.. What they said is that she shouldn't comment and give attention to these things.. If Rihanna posts now on twitter that she doesn't care about her new singles flopping etc...That would be A LOT of attention to that and people would talk about her poor performance instead of her musicI guess you've got a point. Madonna's first album had like 8 songs. TFM had 8 songs... Sometimes it's enough to make a good and successful album... Too me BTW has too much 'fillers'.. For exemple RH is a great album, but there's definitely songs she shouldn't have released. Same for BTW... Too me putting filler songs on an album is lowering the global quality of it... I think wanting a certain length is dangerous. Demanding it be too long may make the album poorer quality but demanding it short might mean we will never get some great songs which would be sad. So I personally think we shouldn't try to give her a set length and tho I personally hope she can pull off a perfect long album like she did BTW, if she feels it's better as a 12-14 track album, that's great too.
