I'm not implying anything. I have been very concise with everything I have written. There is really no other way to interpret what I wrote. Goodnight.

What you wrote does not contradict what I originally said.

Why bring Mariah and Whitney into this thread? Jazz is NOT about showing off your voice with melisma and oversinging in that 90's R&B style that's no longer in fashion (thank goodness).

Most of their ballads were insipid love songs, lyrically inferior both to jazz standards and what Gaga writes herself. Whitney's 80's dance music was better.

And because of that statement I'm more than sure that from now on she's trying to write songs (pop songs) that ask for a vocal delivery. She really is too damn proud of the vocal power she has reached and you can tell she absolutely can't stand that too many people with absolutely average voices  are slaying lol.

"Her Oscars performance will change the focus of her career". Remember that statement by the Oscars producer? Well, our girl wants to kill em and get back at people with ha VOICE! And this is damn great if you ask me. You just don't waste and not put a voice like hers to good use.

Well, it is pretty obvious she's better at jazz, she has always been giving me a rock/jazz musician vibe.

I still can't view her as a pop star who makes dance muic to be honest, even if it's silly.. I fell in love with Gaga through her interviews and acoustic performances. It took me time to get used to her pop music, but now I'm over it and I simply adore everything she does. :sara:

I still hope she will go into a more rock wave in the future.. maybe even something à la Amy Winehouse? I can dream.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

i feel exactly the same way. I didnt even know the difference between her, Katy Perry, and Kesha before i heard her acoustic performances and interviews. Her voice, intelligence, and cleverness made me fall in love with her.

Kanye West

What planet is she on? Her jazz stuff doesn't even touch what her pop music accomplished. She's a great jazz singer, but she was the best pop singer in history.
