and Gaga's ARTPOP/cultural impact continues.

'Shakespeare's classic tale Hamlet will get a contemporary make-over by the Brewing Dept. at HERE next month in a newly devised theatrical piece titled HamletGhosts. The work blends a series of vignettes mixing Shakespeare with Lady Gaga, internet help sites, personal narratives and more.

Helmed by Cody Haefner, HamletGhosts will play Aug. 3-5 as part of the SubletSeries@HERE, a curated rental program which offers artists subsidized space to develop new work.

According to The Brewing Dept., the show invites audiences to experience the "emotional guts" of Hamlet, minus "the messy plot," forcing them to "question their own complicity in the acts of madness and violence played out in front of them."'

I honestly have no idea... Looks high-concept af. But hey, free promo/exposure and continued validity in the theatre community. :legend:

That could be interesting, theatrically and performance wise. Then again, I'm a bit of a theater fan, so I understand it's not everybody's cup of tea.
