AyaKara 2,281
This thread is about discussing Gaga's instagram post, not the effect that Cheek to Cheek has left on the fanbase and Gaga's popularity. Please discuss it elsewhere. Thank you.
Quark 7,098
no actually, being a hit maker proves you can sustain a career and have a good business head on you, or alternatively a good PR team, she's a popstar and her career is still her job and she has to please her bosses (label) and fans. Gaga has enough money to sustain a long risk taking career. Plus she is more an artists than typical popatar.
SychosSoChic 9,995
well for starters her sales could be reduced again, her relevance could slip away and consequently resulting in her having less funding from the label, less extravagant performances, less budget for a better tour, losing fans (let's face it she did lose fans during C2C because they don't like jazz). This album is her make or break album in terms of proving if she's truly a legend or icon and coming back strong or fall into irrelevance and become the Cyndi Lauper to Katy's Madonna. Oh shush you Little Manager. I defy your logic with my flawless philosophy that never fails: Music not the bling Life ain't Hollywood for any one of us. Whispering 18,865
just because you don't know one doesn't mean it happened, where as i have actually SEEN fans change fandoms online and in real life, so they still count. If they can't handle an artist exploring different sides of themselves, those fans needed to go. Let them go be fans of the never ending string of pop tarts, all putting out interchangeable songs from the same writers and producers. Good Riddance to those types! giskardsb 12,565
no actually, being a hit maker proves you can sustain a career and have a good business head on you, or alternatively a good PR team, she's a popstar and her career is still her job and she has to please her bosses (label) and fans.her career has been at one of its highest points in the last year and a half with no pop music. Gaga is bigger than the petty pop games and stans arguing about relevance. Her career will have a wider breadth of success than just trying to be a pop queen. Madonna is not the target for her. I believe something like 'modern jazz' music will be a genius idea for Gaga.. Or maybe a more rock-ish music with jazz elements... ? People will destroy her if she just come back with a new Poker Face or Bad Romance 3.0... Writing with Brian and the guys may be a great idea. They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

Warholian 6,880
Honestly guys, she wrote all of her early work on piano, then had producers alter it to make it marketable. Probably the same thing here. And I doubt she would release a jazz album with her own written work on it, seeing that it would likely be critically panned.. Personally, I hope she just does jazz versions of her record for live performances next era. Also, can someone get a lip reader here, please? Kevin Parker, Mac Demarco, Mark Ronson, and a stoned Lady Gaga. Need I say more?
monketsharona 80,311
Having trumpet on a dance song could be huge ! I'm definitely here for this !do you remember how saxophone slayed everyone on TEoG and Hair (the latter produced by RedOne) ?

I'm definitely here for this !do you remember how saxophone slayed everyone on TEoG and Hair (the latter produced by RedOne) ? it's redundant now because it's the new boring trend to have brass on a dance/hip-hop record now

Lady 748
Lady Gaga, one of the most versatile and talented artists, who is just a musical genius, an amazing songwriter and who is evolving like crazy at the moment, has one of the most closed minded fan bases, who's just so afraid to see her try out something new and fresh and exciting on her next solo album without actually even knowing what she's up to. Sad.And you know, trumpet is an instrument that can be used in other musical genres too besides jazz,
